Preseasn Checklist fr Players 1) Fcus n yur academics first and fremst. Keep yur grades up because the furth quarter determines yur fall eligibility. Dn't take yurself ut f the equatin befre the seasn even starts. 2) Cmplete the nline registratin frm. The frm is available via the prgram Web site. Yu will be asked t send the caching staff a cpy f yur spring schedule as well. 3) Bkmark the nline summer calendar and/r fllw us n Twitter. All updates will be psted first n thse tw surces. Again, bth resurces are available n the prgram site. 4) Cmplete the required schl and state paperwrk. Players will nt be permitted t participate in activities withut cmpleting the required paperwrk. The CHS Athletic Department site has all f the 1

2 required paperwrk. Turn in all frms t the Athletic Department ffice. D nt give them t the caching staff. Players must cmplete and submit the fllwing frms: Emergency Medical Authrizatin, OHSAA Cncussin, OHSAA Physical, and CHS Cde f Cnduct. Frms will nt be accepted until June 1. 5) Check yur and the team site regularly fr imprtant annuncements. Players will have t cmplete and cnfirm availability dates thrughut the summer. Futsal and Spring Sessins We play futsal and cnditin nce a week during the schl year. All prspective players are welcme t participate in these infrmal sessins. The times, days, and lcatins change frm week t week based n gym availability, s check the calendar. Legacy Field All CHS wmen's sccer players are encuraged t use Legacy Field fr additinal training, and we are incredibly frtunate and privileged t enjy such resurces. Hwever, players must remember curtesy, respect, and rules when training there. Yu must always defer t CHS lacrsse and fficial facility rentals. N fd, gum, seeds, etc. are permitted n the field, and yu must leave the field in better shape than yu fund it. Fr training partners r equipment, cntact the senirs. Summer Sessins All players need t wear t-shirts with their last names clearly psted n the back fr all summer activities. N jewelry f any frm is permitted. Strength and Cnditining sessins will take place in the CHS weight rm. Players shuld bring running shes, water, and a twel t these sessins. We usually g twice week. Check the calendar fr dates. Open Fields sessins will take place at Legacy Field. Members f the caching staff will supervise sme sessins, and the returning varsity players will run the ther sessins. Players need t bring running shes, cleats, shinguards, water, and balls t these sessins. We typically play 2-3 times per week, and we will add these dates t the calendar nce summer begins. Scrimmages and Turnaments will require nline registratin at a later date, and we will invite select players t these events. We will usually have tw squads fr mst cmpetitins. Players will be mved back and frth between teams t accmmdate numbers and needs fr the given cmpetitin. When pssible, my gal is t give players equal time and pprtunity at these events. Unifrms and transprtatin will be prvided. All summer sessins are vluntary. N attendance is recrded except fr transprtatin requirements. Yu d nt need t the caching staff abut absences r vacatins. Participatin als des nt guarantee placement n a team; it will help player preparatins fr tryuts. Sccer Camp The Dutch Sccer Academy camp, run by Cach Wilhelm and his crew, will be held at Legacy Field July frm 6:00-8:30. It has been a prgram traditin fr almst tw decades, and it is a fabulus way t get sme training befre tryuts. Refer t the extra handuts abut registratin requirements and fees. 2

3 Fundraiser The 8th-Annual Mattress Sale Fundraiser will take place July Please help supprt ur nly fundraising request f the year by spreading the wrd, distributing fliers, vlunteering an hur f supervisin, etc. Mre details will be frthcming. Trainers Trainers will nt be at any f the summer sessins, s if yu need treatment, cntact the training staff at the high schl. D nt cme t the sessins expecting treatment fr injuries, and d nt participate in any sessin with lingering injuries. Tryuts Tryuts take place August 1-3. These sessins are mandatry. 4 Dutch Sccer Academy July 10-14, 2017 The Dutch Sccer Academy will be hlding its 18th annual sccer camp at the CHS Sccer Stadium July Players and caches frm the Dutch first divisin are ffering all candidates fr the CHS Wmen's Sccer prgram the pprtunity fr a unique training experience. The camp, which will be run under the directin f the Willem II players and caches, will be held each evening frm 6:00-8:30PM. The Dutch Sccer Academy staff has requested a cap f 60 players, and registratin will be n a strict first-cme, first-registered basis. The fee fr the camp, as it has been fr the previus 7 years, will be $170 per player. This ffering is an excellent chance fr all prspective players t learn frm prfessinals and t prepare fr tryuts and the cming seasn. If yu are interested in participating in this year's Dutch Sccer Academy, please cmplete the attached infrmatin, medical, and indemnity frms. Once cmpleted, send them t the schl address r deliver them t me at the high schl.
