Under the streamlined prcess eligible applicants will generally nt be expected t prvide dcumentary evidence f financial maintenance and educatin qualificatins, making the applicatin prcess simpler and easier. Hwever please nte that ns, like natinals f all cuntries, will still need t meet the requirements in the immigratin rules and students must be able t prvide the apprpriate dcuments if exceptinally requested. Students are therefre advised t hld these dcuments and in additin, take these dcuments with them when they travel t the United Kingdm. A TB certificate frm an apprved clinic is required fr submissin with the visa applicatin. SPMs are the equivalent t UK GCSEs and can be taken as equivalent t GCSEs, apart frm English Language. This sectin refers t the English language paper taken at SPM. Since 2000, students n lnger sit fr 2 separate papers but take the same paper but it is assessed under tw separate A1 -F9 scales. The paper is nw jintly set by the n Ministry f Educatin and the Cambridge Overseas Examinatin Bard with bth parties jintly marking it at a standard rughly equal t the ' Old 1119 ' The same paper is then marked within alng SPM 122 style criteria. When lking at this dual grading system Admissins Staff wuld be advised t lk fr the lwer f the tw marks btained by the student, which will almst inevitably be that equating t 1119 standard. It shuld state 1119 r GCE. Recmmend a minimum f 5C in the SPM /GCE 1119 exam including English Language. If a candidate has that scre a separate IELTS/TOEFL is nt required.
