4 Labs/Lab Quizzes The labs are assigned s that students get practice in researching, analyzing, critical thinking and applicatin f the infrmatin learned in the curse. The labs will demnstrate t bth the instructr and student as t whether r nt the student has a deeper understanding f the infrmatin learned. Several labs will invlve the PhysiEx 9.1 lab manual/sftware. PhysiEx 9.1 is available n the Mastering A&P cmpanin website. All assigned labs are psted in the Drpbx and will be submitted via the Drpbx n yur D2L curse page. Labs will nt be graded but will be need t be cmpleted in rder t take the related lab quiz, thus yur lab grade is earned via the related quiz. Related lab quizzes d nt appear n Quizzes list until the related lab has been cmpleted and submitted via the Drpbx. All labs must be submitted by due date/time fr ne t take the related lab quiz. Late assignments are NOT accepted which means that a student wh des nt submit lab by due date/time will nt be allwed t take the related lab quiz thus lsing thse available pints. Lab quizzes are assigned fr each lab assigned and are used t evaluate yur understanding f the related lab. Lab quizzes are taken un prctred and nline after the cmpletin f assigned lab activitity by specified date. Lab quizzes are accessed via the Quizzes tab n the Cure Hme Page. Lab quizzes will nt shw in Quiz list until related lab has been submitted. Lab quizzes will carry a value f ten pints and will have a time limit f 12 minutes with a 3 minute grace perid. Lab quizzes are NOT grup assignments and are meant t be taken individually. Students will typically use their cmpleted labs t take the quiz. Lab quizzes will invlve questins directly and indirectly frm the assigned labs and will include interpretatin f data and critical thinking. Make up lab quizzes are nt typically allwed. (This includes technical issues.) Since the labs are meant t reinfrce material being learned, cncepts frm the labs will typically appear n varius assignments and exams. Lecture Quizzes: Lecture Quizzes are utilized t help yu measure yur understanding f sme f the mst imprtant cncepts. They are used t help yu apply the learned infrmatin. Each lecture quiz will cnsist f 10 multiple chice questins and a full value f 10 pints. Lecture quizzes are nt prctred therefre ntebks and textbks may be used. Hwever, please nte that I expect yu t g int the quiz with knwledge. If yu are nt prepared t take the quiz and resrt t lking up all questins, yu will nt have nearly enugh time t cmplete the quiz within the alltted time allwed. Althugh ntes and text are allwed, the majrity f the quiz questins invlve critical thinking and interpreting data/graphs, and therefre they will nt be f much help.
