This assignment will be discussed in greater detail during the class sessin with Trish Raridan-Prestn. Fr this assignment yu will cmplete a plan f the curses yu prpse t take in yur first tw years (fur full semesters) at OSU. This plan can include curses yu are enrlled in fr Spring Semester 2016 and the fllwing three regular/fulltime semesters. Other special pprtunities may be included in the margins (i.e., internships r

Critique f a Student Organizatin, Prfessinal Seminar, r Infrmatinal Interview Attend a meeting fr a student rganizatin related t yur majr r career field, a prfessinal meeting r seminar, r a face-t-face infrmatinal interview and prvide a summary f the event in an electrnic frmat via Carmen. Include the fllwing infrmatin in yur critique: the name, date and time f the event attended; the activity and/r name f any guest speakers at the meeting; why yu attended that particular event and what yu learned that pertains t yur interests in the envirnment and natural resurces. If yu have met with a prfessinal fr an infrmatinal interview, yu will need t prvide the name and cntact infrmatin fr the prfessinal, as well as the date, time, and lcatin and a summary f the interview. Career Visin Summary Paper The purpse f this assignment is t prepare a summary f yur persnal career visin, nw that yu have had the pprtunity t explre yur majr, the ENR curriculum in general, and have heard frm faculty, student interns and thers in the field. As additinal research fr yur career explratin prcess, investigate emplyment websites related t yur career field (Hire-A-Buckeye r elsewhere), fr at least tw jb pstings in yur chsen field. D they match yur expectatins? Are the gals and missin f the agency, rganizatin r cmpany in line with yur wn? Did what yu heard frm the faculty, as well as ur ther presenters this semester, alter yur view f yur majr? Is yur understanding f yur chsen career field different nw frm when yu first arrived n campus? Have yur career and prfessinal gals changed? If s, hw, and why? Yur paper shuld be a minimum f 2 ½-3 pages. (See abve fr further guidelines n papers.) Due March 10.

We prmise that yur learning pprtunities will be built n student-centered learning initiatives and real wrld experiences. Yu will have faculty, staff, and student mentrs wh will help shape yur experiences. Yur educatin will be value added as yu learn mre than just knwledge and applicatin but als master transferable skills that will benefit yu fr a lifetime.
