Session 1: Thursday 01 November, am Session 2: Thursday 08 November, am Session 3: Thursday 15 November, am Session 4: Thursday 22 November, am An introduction to the Prep learning environment, our Prep Teachers and to each other. A chance to explore, create and play using a range of Prep resources targeting literacy, numeracy and social development. Time to investigate the Prep Playground By the final session, children will be increasingly familiar with their new Prep environment and our Prep teachers, and ready for a happy start in

4 WHAT DOES THE P&C DO? Fundraise to support the needs of the school Run the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop (as businesses) Purchase, service and repair air-conditioning to all classrooms Run Community events such as the Festival on the Hill, Art Show, Discos etc. Build major projects in the school grounds e.g. School Hall, Playgrounds, New Nature Play Areas. 4

9 WHEN AND WHO? Open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Main Lunch at 1 st Break (11am) Snack at 2 nd break (1:30pm) Convenor: Shaan Back-Up Convenor: Ana Volunteers YOU! WHY VOLUNTEER AT THE TUCKSHOP? Great way to meet other parents Food preparation is SO easy! Most food is pre-made by Shaan, volunteers help to put things together and pack the baskets Free lunch and coffee (often with a yummy homemade goodie from Shaan!) Super fun! Lots of laughs and fun throughout the morning. You get to see your kids at school sometimes they don t even know you are watching! Did I mention it is fun?!?! 9

10 ORDERING TUCKSHOP Flexischools Orders close 8:30am of the ordering day. Counter Orders: Available up until 8:30am. Incurs a Counter Fee 50c and a Paper Bag fee (if required) 10c Students can purchase ice blocks and snacks with cash over the counter at 2 nd break 10

14 WHO, WHEN, WHERE The uniform shop is run by the P&C All profits are returned to the P&C to fund things like new playgrounds, air-conditioning and other resources We can be found next to the Tuckshop 8 9am Mondays during school term + 2 mornings in late January 2019 OR online via flexischools (choose newstarter2019) Orders are delivered to your child s classroom once a week Also used for tuckshop orders and other activities during the year. GETTING READY FOR NEXT YEAR The uniform shop will be open just for new preppies on Thursday1 st, 8 th and 15 th November from 8.30am We have a uniforms in various sizes for you to view and try on, with our helpful volunteers Preferred ordering method is online via flexischools by Sunday 8pm, with collection from the uniform shop on the next Thursday morning. There is an optional jacket for winter and optional tights We also run a second hand uniform stall also open 8 9am Mondays All items are $5 All donations most welcome! 15
