3 WELCOME On behalf of the NSW MacKillop area it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to competitors, officials, families and spectators to the New South Wales Catholic Primary Schools CPS MacKillop Softball trial. I congratulate each participant on gaining selection in their Diocesan teams and trust each of you will gain from your involvement at this trial. I would also like to acknowledge the team managers and teachers who have played a major role in team coordination from selections and no doubt for their valuable support over the duration of these trials. Your role is tremendously important and certainly valued in school sport. I would like to thank the Sydney Archdiocese for hosting this event, in particular Anna Turnbull & Liz Reakes in preparation for these trials and we appreciate the efforts in providing these great sporting experiences. My thanks also to our trial umpires, selectors and the MacKillop team managers for the coordination of team selections. The NSWCPS MacKillop Softball trial provides a wonderful opportunity for Catholic Primary School students from across southern New South Wales to compete in a healthy spirit and will provide many valuable learning experiences. To those students fortunate enough to gain selection in a MacKillop team to compete at the NSW PSSA level, congratulations and good luck. My best wishes to you all for a successful trial. It is my hope that these opportunities form a happy part of your sporting memories. Enjoy your time in Sydney John Sparks MacKillop Chairperson CONVENER'S MESSAGE Today s trial is the culmination of much planning and organisation from school Sports Coordinators, Diocesan Team Managers and various Sport Conveners.
