1 Indiana University South Bend Archives Guide to IU South Bend Student Life Collection: Summary Information Repository: Indiana University South Bend Archives 1700 Mishawaka Avenue P.O. Box 7111 South Bend, Indiana Phone: (574) Creator: Indiana University South Bend Title: Indiana University South Bend Student Life Collection Extent: 3.75 cubic feet Abstract: This collection comprises material related to the Indiana University South Bend Office of Student Life and to Titan Productions. The Office of Student Life s essential function is to oversee the student-led clubs and organizations on the IUSB campus. Pursuant to that aim, it manages the My Involvement Webpage, the main online source of information about such organizations. The Office works closely with the Student Government Association, Project LEAD (a program promoting community engagement), and Titan Productions (a student organization that provides entertainment and educational events). Along with coordinating student clubs, the Office of Student Life supports and assists related activities, events, and training. Scope and Content Note: The collection contains material related to the various student clubs, arranged alphabetically by club name and then chronologically by school year. It is particularly rich in material related to the Latino Student Union for the years , including club meeting minutes and financial documents. Also included (in the first three folders) are a list of clubs dating from September 1991, a club registration reminder of March 6, 2012, and two items related to fraternity and sorority life from 1968 and 2011; and (towards the end of the collection) the somewhat miscellaneous items filed under the designation Student Life, which extend from 2006 to the present. Dates for the collection as a whole range from 1951 to the present, but the bulk of the material is from the 21st century. s and electronic bulletin board posts predominate, but programs, flyers, brochures, minutes, a Faculty Council circular, a page from Indiana Alumni Magazine, a CD-ROM, T-shirts, scarves, a pencil, a monitor brush, and a marker are also included. The larger posters are in Drawer 6 of the flat storage cabinet in Room 204A and are inventoried in the Guide to IU South Bend Flat Storage (See below, these posters are also listed at the end of this finding aid).

Preferred Citation: [Item]: IU South Bend Student Clubs Collection, Indiana University South Bend Archives. Processing Information: Student Archives worker Joshua Crain processed material pertaining to Titan Productions and Student Life and created a finding aid from Fall 2011 through January 5, Joshua Crain and Student Archives worker Eric Walerko processed additional material of this type in July Student Archives worker Christie Pierce worked on the student clubs material from fall 2010 through December Staff Archives worker Adrian Esselstrom worked on the collection from June 2012 through April 2015 and created the present finding aid, which incorporates portions of Joshua Crain s previously mentioned finding aid. Updated by the Archives Assistant Sheila Smyth, May 2015 and again by the Archives Assistant Adrian Esselstrom, February On June 9, 2014 the Archives received a donation from the Office of Student Life of material relating to the Student Government Association, Student Publications, Titan Productions, Project LEAD, and Student Life. This was removed from the binders in which it was received, placed in folders, and redacted to remove sensitive information. The material relating to the Office of Student Life, Titan Productions, and Project LEAD was integrated into the Student Life Collection in June of 2016 and the finding aid updated by Adrian Esselstrom at the same time.
