3 Graduation Plans Recommended Program designed for students who plan to go to college Distinguished Program additional year of foreign language and completion of advanced measures The graduation plans are high school graduation plans, not college admission requirements.

5 Academic Catalog You can find the Course Catalog online at All course offerings are subject to change! Funding levels and student interest may affect whether or not an offering is available. Some courses have fees, prerequisites, and grade restrictions.

6 Rank in Class Policy Rank in class, honor graduate status, valedictorian and salutatorian determination shall be based on a weighted grade point average (GPA) system. Grades will be weighted according to the level of the course. AP/PAP Dual Credit On-Level Grade Point

7 Top 10% Rule Class Rank and GPA are used to determine if you are in the Top 10% of your class. Students who are in the top 10% of their class are automatically accepted into Texas public colleges. (UT Austin is top 7% for those entering college Fall 2017) For admissions purposes, rank at the close of junior year dictates the top 10% of the class.

15 Dual Credit Requires that you attend Dual Credit Night at HHS on Monday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. You MUST meet Collin College s admissions criteria and complete the admission process with the college You MUST currently have an overall average of a B or higher in the curriculum area for which dual credit is being requested Student responsibilities: Attendance Transportation Tuition & Fees (approximately $120 per semester course) plus Books Starts your college transcript

16 Making a Schedule Change Your last opportunity to change an elective is on or before: April 15, 2016 Only approved program changes (in or out of athletics, band, etc.) can be made the first two weeks of the new semester. PAP/AP students must complete the first six-weeks grade cycle before a change to onlevel will be considered.

17 Back Up Classes Complete the alternate electives on the verification form. These will be used if your first choice does not work. We won t accept your verification form without the alternates being filled in! Without a verification on file, you will not be able to request a schedule change for an elective that you do not sign up for.
