The site is designed to help students using the CSU Stanislaus Library, but anyone can use the profiles or submit questions via the contact form. 43 About the Northern San Joaquin Valley Statistics Site 2 of 2 6/12/2010 5:11 PM Most government statistics are compiled at for states, counties or cities/metropolitan areas. The state of California is so large and diverse, state-level statistics often do not adquately reflect the social and economic environment of sizable regions within a state the size of California (such as the Central Valley, the Sierra foothills, etc.). County-level profiles are often too narrow and provide and incomplete picture. The northern San Joaquin Valley is the home to CSU Stanislaus. Comprising of just three counties, it was chosen as a manageable area for a pilot project to provide pre-compiled statistical profiles of a region of Central California. Privacy Statement As a pilot project for the CSU Stanislaus Library, this website follows library privacy guidelines, including the confidentiality of library records (Cal Gov Code 6267). Information regarding an individual is only collected to provide assistance to individual users and for essential site administration, and such is always confidential and not shared with any other organization.
