You MUST nominate by the dates mentioned! Congratulations to all students who have been successful in gaining selection in the NWI District teams. Netball Talent ID Trials CROSS-COUNTRY NEWS The College Cross Country will be held on Wednesday 21 st March with the race starting at 7.45pm sharp. Students may wear sports uniform on this day. After the completion of the carnival a team will be selected to continue to train for the CaSSSA Cross Country Cup. A map of the course is available on the last page. Order of race starts per age group 7.45am U am U am U am U am U am U16 IMPORTANT NOTE: When completing the course ensure you run through the correct finishing chute This is organised by year of birth, refer to the table below. CROSS-COUNTRY TRAINING - Training sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during term time from 6.30am 7.45am. There is a requirement for anyone wishing to be in the Cross-Country team to attend both sessions each week. Fitness training is each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3.15pm 4.30pm. All students currently doing the fitness training are strongly encouraged to attend Cross-Country training. CROSS-COUNTRY SQUAD Students who finish in the top 15 at the College Carnival and / or those who have been attending training regularly will be ed a squad information booklet / permission note. This online process needs to be completed by Friday 23 rd March to attend the St Aidans meet scheduled for Monday 26 th March.

2 CaSSSA Tennis Grand finals This draw will be released midweek from CaSSSA and updated on the College App. Ensure you download the college app to keep current with all sport updates. Water Polo Grand Final Congratulations to our 18C gold team for qualifying for the grand final being played on March 24 th. Please come and support our girls, it is a $5.50 entry fee for all spectators. Saturday March am Valley Pool MSM Gold V Somerville Lime NETBALL TALENT ID DAYS If you have a high skill level (Rep or A grade level) and want to be considered for selection in the elite netball teams at the College Register now! Signup sheets will be on the notice board outside the Sports Office. Other opportunities to play netball will be available later in the year for students of varying skill levels and abilities. Refer to the Sports 2018 Overview for trial dates for CaSSSA Sport. ELITE TEAM TRIALS Senior Talent ID Trial YR 9-12 Teams selected Training start this Thursday pm Sophia Centre Jnr Talent ID Trial YR 7-8 Thursday 22 nd March, pm Sophia Centre Coles Sports for Schools vouchers The College is now registered for Coles Sports for Schools. Voucher collection boxes are set up in Grantuly Reception and at Coles Ashgrove. And if you shop online, you can nominate MSM to receive digital vouchers. The program runs until June 15. We look forward to seeing how much sports equipment the College will receive thanks to your support.

3 CaSSSA Wednesday Sport Students may change into sports uniform / team uniform at morning tea or lunch on Wednesdays. There is no time to change after school before catching buses. Team and training information is available on the next page. Please meet in the Sophia Centre by no later than 3.10pm for roll marking, and then move as a team to the buses.
