Ties should be of traditional style and not elasticated. However, boys in Reception are also allowed an elasticated tie for use on the days when they need to change for Games or PE. 4

7 INTRODUCTION OF NEW BLAZER We have introduced a new blazer to our uniform and it has been phased in as follows: 2014 academic year - all children starting Reception 2015 academic year - all children at Swallows 2016 academic year - all children at Swallows and Hales The blazer is wool rich and of high quality ensuring it is hard-wearing and durable. Although dry cleanable it can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth. 5

9 RECEPTION YEAR 6 UNIFORM School sunhats Pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 require an Art Apron. Boys hair should be above collar height and hair gel may not be worn. Girls hair, of shoulder length or longer, should be tied back with black or blue hair fastenings. Children are expected to be neat and tidy when they arrive at School each morning. No items of jewellery may be worn unless they are of a religious nature and parents have applied to the Headmaster for permission. Girls with pierced ears may wear studs only. 14 NAME TAPES Sew on name tapes and shoe labels for all uniform and kit can be printed in the shop while you wait.
