1 St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church CHILDREN S CHOIR Fall 2018 Season Come sing with us! Who: Practices: All Children in grades 2 nd -8 th On WEDNESDAYS (both groups) 2:00-3:00 p.m. St. Mary Magdalen School Students (starting on Aug. 15 th ) (After school, students meet in the Cafeteria, and then escorted by an adult, walk together over to the SMM Church St. Cecilia Choir Room. At 3:00 p.m., students will come to the Church Breezeway to meet parents for pick-up. Please note: Parents who are more than 15 minutes late will have to pick up their child inside the St. Cecilia Choir Room, because students will be arriving for the following 3:30 p.m. practice.) Where: 3:30-4:00 p.m. P.R.E.P. Religious Education Students (starting on Sept. 19 th, first day of PREP) All choir practices take place in the Church Choir Room (The Saint Cecilia Music Room) Duration: The Children s Choir Ministry will be offered only during the Fall semester (Aug. Dec.) due to the active Spring semester extra-curricular activities. The Children s Choir sings at one weekend Mass a month (during the Fall semester), at the exciting annual Parish Christmas Concert (Nov. 30 th ) and the Children s Christmas Eve Mass (4:00pm, Dec. 24 th ). What a wonderful way for your child to be able to actively participate in our Catholic liturgies and traditions. 3 Put together back-to-school supply gifts for refugee/needing students, make condolence cards for grieving families, Everyone Can Do Something For Others A FAMILY SERVICE PROJECT Come Serve With Us Because EVERYONE CAN DO SOMETHING FOR OTHERS 9am-11am Saturday, August 25 prepare lunch bags for the homeless, make encouragement cards for inmates, pack baby packages for expecting mothers, etc.
