3 Staff Meet the coaches Stephen Kish Head Coach Abigail Klicker Assistant Coach Mari Sundbo Assistant Coach Allison Carter Assistant Coach Currently in his 22nd year as the head coach of Bucknell Women s Rowing, Coach Kish has led the Bison to 7 Patriot League Championships in the past 12 years. Coach Kish, a sixtime Patriot League Coach of the Year, has overseen the team s three trips to Henley, 31 Dad Vail medals and and 4 IRA lightweight national championship medals. A two-time All-MARC rower and threetime CRCA National Scholar-Athlete at Marietta College. Klicker helped Marietta achieve back to back appearances at NCAA Division III Championship appearances in 2011 and A three-time Academic All-Big Ten rower and team captain at the University of Minnesota. Sundbo has trained with Kevin Light, a member of the Canadian men s rowing team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Led the Ithaca College third varsity eight to a win in the petite final at the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) and the lightweight four to an undefeated season, culminating with a win in the grand final at the NIRC.

4 WHY ROWING? Why did you choose to row at Bucknell University? I chose to row at Bucknell because I wanted to row competitively in Division 1 athletics. Bucknell is a school that prides itself on its students excelling both in academics and athletics, and to me that was a perfect fit. Lauren Bell, Junior, New Canaan, CT

5 WOMEN S ROWING HAS 37 NAMED TO Patriot League Academic Honor Roll The Patriot League wrapped up its announcements of student-athletes making its Academic Honor Roll on Friday and 37 Bucknell women s rowers were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. A total of 231 women s rowers were recognized across the league. Bucknell ranked third in the league with its 37 honorees. Lauren Perry and Elizabeth Wilkey led the Bison with perfect 4.0 gradepoint averages during the spring semester. Leah Murphy was one of 15 women s rowers to land a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for a fourth consecutive year. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 gradepoint average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League s winter or spring championship sports. I love competing and seeing how hard I can push my body physically. Which color do you resonate with or like the most - orange or blue? Orange - because it has a presence, it makes itself known with no shame. What do you like to do in your free time? Read! I always have a book with me. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is snuggled in my bed. What is your major? Mechanical Engineering Do you see yourself continuing to be involved in Rowing post-graduation? Yes! I plan on moving back to Philly and getting a membership to one of the boathouses on boathouse row. If you could travel to anywhere in the world for free, where would you go? Italy, anytime! Why did you choose Bucknell? I chose Bucknell because it was the only small D1 school not in a city, with an amazing engineering program, and beautiful campus.
