3 SPORTS & ACTIVITIES You can find new energy and inspiration every day of the week, throughout the academic year at SSHL. We offer many practical, physical and artistic extracurricular activities and hope you will find at least two regular activities to take part in throughout the school year. Our team of professional, enthusiastic staff will teach you, inspire you and encourage you to develop, grow and have fun. We focus on such things as the importance of sleep, how to eat well and general questions that concern your daily life. SSHL offers many types of activities to help you make the very best of your spare time. ÄNGSBACKEN In Ängsbacken you can hang out with your friends, play games or just relax between lessons. Ängsbacken is open to all students on weekdays

5 CORE ACTIVITIES The extracurricular core activities cost 2000 SEK per academic year. This fee covers all three activity periods (NB. There is no additional fee for boarding students). GYM The school s gym has running machines, weights, and a variety of weight machines so you ve got plenty of opportunity to keep fit. Access to the gym is included in the core activities. SPORTS & ATHLETICS TRAINING The core activities package lets you participate in sports and athletics training for the school s various teams. You have the opportunity to be selected to represent SSHL in various competitions. Read more under Sports Competitions FITNESS TRAINING The Sports & Extracurricular Activities Department offers a selection of fitness classes throughout the academic year. Choose between classes like Afro Power Dance, Interval, Boxercise, Core and Crossfit. BADMINTON/TABLE TENNIS Racket sports for students looking for a fun, challenging sporting activity.

6 SPINNING Spinning is cycling indoors to music. It s a simple and fun, but physically challenging way to enhance your fitness. YOGA An all round workout where you can train strength, agility, balance, breathing and relaxation. It s an activity for well-being, inspiration and good health. THEATER Every year we put on at least one production at the school. Learn to act, develop your stage craft in a fun, supportive and challenging environment. DEBATING Learn the classic art of debating with the school s Debating Society. DANCE Jazz Funk combines groove and rhythms from hip hop to jazz cleaner lines, all set to the very best in music. You ll learn the basics of dance style and given the opportunity to perform on stage.

7 ACTIVITIES WITH ADDITIONAL COSTS RIDING LESSONS TENNIS For more information contact the us at: Training takes place at Sigtuna Tennis Club in Prästängshallen next to the school. 9 SPORTS COMPETITIONS NECIS Do you love to compete? Are you ambitious? Are you good at sport? If so, you might well get to represent SSHL in sports competitions both in Sweden and abroad. Each year we participate in the sporting events between schools in northern Europe organised by NECIS. If selected to represent SSHL at one of these events, you ll have some great memories from your time here and perhaps even make some new friends for life.
