2 I M P O R T A N T M E S S A G E S Wellness Wednesday Our next Wellness Wednesday will be Nov. 9th and is entitled The ERIS Point. This calming program gives participants strategies to help harmonize and balance their life in order to aid in reducing stress and anxiety. This Wellness workshop will run during Periods 2, 3, and 4 in Room 106. Anyone interested in participating must see Ms. Farwell in Guidance for an admission ticket (they will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis). Photo Re-Take Day This is a friendly reminder that Photo-Retake is Monday October 24th in the cafeteria. Students will be called down by grade. All students must take their picture for their student card. Parent Teacher Interviews - Thursday October 27 Teacher interview night is scheduled for Thursday October 27 from 6:30 8:30. Students can request an interview time slot with their subject teachers. A sign-up sheet was distributed to students earlier in the week. Please note that parking is limited at the school, and parking will not be available at Flato Markham Theatre due to an event. Additional parking has been arranged at Apple Creek SDA Church on Apple Creek Blvd. 22nd Annual Take Our Kids to Work Day! On Wednesday November 2 nd, all grade 9 students will spend the day at work, job shadowing a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host. Grade 9 students have received a parent information brochure which explains the benefits of this program and contains the Parent Consent Form. Please ensure that the consent form is signed and returned to your child s homeroom teacher by Wednesday October 26 th. Oktoberfest Modified Schedule Period 1 8:30 am to 9:26 am Period 3 9:30 am to 10:26 am Period 2 10:30 am to 11:26 am Oktoberfest 11:30 am to 1:06 pm Period 4 1:10 pm to 2:06 pm SHSM All SHSM students will be meeting with the SHSM school coordinator on Tuesday during period 4. For any student who may still be interested in applying for SHSM, please see the flyer attached to the bulletin. The deadline for SHSM applications is October 30.
