13 Peter Quinlan North Reading High School, Class of Letter Award Winner Baseball Four year starter During his 4 years playing baseball, the hornets held a record. Held 3 CAL tides 2 class lie" State Championships and established a state record of thirty-three consecutive victories Personal achievements Hitting record.508 and 6 home runs in a single season Career pitching total 24-1 (holds the school record) First NRHS athlete for All-Scholastic by the Boston Globe and Boston Herald for 3 consecutive years. Quinlan was considered the best high school player in the country as evidenced by his fourth round selection by the Baltimore Orioles. Upon signing his professional contract, Orioles head scout, Frank McGowan, said that Peter was in a class with three other hitters whom he also sought to sign; Terry Crowley (Baltimore Orioles), Tony Conigliaro, and Cad Yazstremski.
