The books will be used in a choice reading center, and most will be donated right back to families that same evening. 4 GRADUATION The 8 th Grade Graduation Committee is currently accepting donations of water bottles for upcoming events. 8 oz bottles (minis) are especially appreciated. We are also still in need of donations of $100 per student to help cover the following events: Honors Night May 17 th 6:30-8:00 pm Great America May 18 th Times TBD Ice Cream Social May 23 rd 1:30-3:00 pm The BIG day Graduation and Dance May 25 th 5:00-9:00 pm Please drop off donations in the office and thank you for your continued support. GATE OLSAT testing on March 9 2 nd grade in room A13 3 rd grade in room F05 4 th 7 th in room E11. A few friendly reminders: * Monday, February 27th at 1 pm is the last chance to turn in your Box Tops to the PTA safe located in the office. Please write the name of your child's teacher on the bag with your Box Tops. * Please sign up to volunteer at the Traina School Book Fair February 27th - March 3rd. Any time you can donate is much appreciated! * Texas Roadhouse meals can be ordered from any 5th grader and we will be selling meals February 28th and March 1 st at 2 pm and 3 pm in front of the school during pick up. Orders are due by March 2nd at 1pm. Meals will be available for pick up March 8th 5-6:30 pm in front of the school. * See s Candies order forms will be going out soon and will be due March 31st by 1pm. 6 TB CLEARANCE PROCESS: The Jefferson School District Nurse is required to administer the Risk Assessment Questionnaire in person. Our district nurse, Tina Coverdale will be available the last Wednesday of every month from 3:00 to 4:00 in the Student Services office at the District Office. Anyone needing a TB test can drop in during that time for her to administer the questionnaire. The Wednesday s Nurse Tina will be at Student Services are: March 29 April 26 May 24

10 CAFETERIA NEWS! Our school offers BREAKFAST in our school cafeteria from 7:30 8:00 a.m. Our school cafeteria also offers 2nd chance breakfast at recess. BREAKFAST is $1.50 and includes food items and milk and/or juice.
