CELEBRATIONS: * Nursery Section( ): On the eve of Diwali, a skit was performed to create awareness on noise pollution and air pollution and the safety measures to be followed while bursting crackers. * Nursery, Primary and Middle school students celebrated Christmas and Bakrid with festive spirit and fervor. Bin It club has installed placards at various places in school campus to bring awareness regarding the use of dustbins. There were Colouring competition and Junk Art competition for primary school students, Dust Bin Designing and Poster Making for middle school students. Many students participated in the event to support the idea Clean India, Green India. * Arul Srivastva of std.v started his own terrace garden influenced by the Greendom Garden Club activities of his school. His success in this endeavour attracted Adyar Talk to publish an article on the same on 8 th Dec Orientation programme: Nearly 16 students from classes VIII to X attended an orientation program Kanavu Mei Padum Paadhai for student Learners on 13 th November 2017 at IC&SR Auditorium. True to the title, the workshop was an eye opener and helped the participating students to focus and realize their dreams. Career guidance: * Students of High and Higher Secondary were enlightened on two more professions Medicine & Merchant Navy by Dr. Yamuna and Capt. Kirupakaran respectively. Educational tour: * 116 students of class X were taken on an educational trip to ISRO, Sriharikota on 27 th October The trip was organised by Sunspring. Students got an opportunity to visit both the launch pads and were also taken into the Mission Control Room. The class teachers of X and the High School Section Head, accompanied the students.

2 2 WORKSHOPS: * 15 students of class VIII accompanied by Primary and Middle school teachers attended a programme Once upon a space time conducted by Dr. Sathish Kumar Saravanan (Physicist) in Anna Centenary Library on 27 th October * Representatives of Indian Postage Department addressed the students of Middle School on 16 th November on the importance of stamps and its origin and how to enroll in the club of Philately. * A workshop was conducted by scholastic on 11 th November 2017 to meet the challenges of learners and to build the foundation for literacy and learning. Gardening Genres - making Non-detail reading interesting in English was attended by Mrs. C.G.Lakshmi, Mrs.N.M.Latha and Strategies to Activate Inquiry Skills in Science was attended by Mrs.T.S.Kanthimathi, Mrs.N.Srilatha. * On 16 th December 2017, Mrs.S.Sujatha and Mrs. A.Tamizharasi attended a workshop on Child-Centered Learning From cliche to classroom reality conducted by Mr. Rajendran Thamarapura (Teacher trainer). * The Guinness Book of World Record: On 14 th October 2017, 55 students from our school accompanied by Mrs.P. Nirmala and Mrs. J.S.P. The following students participated as a team ( Srija.G -V A, Esaimithran.S - V A, Eshwar Thath.K.R - V C, Sivaraman.M - V B) and won Overall 2 nd Runner-up& winners in Distance Event and Speed Event. Jet Toy challenge competition on 28 th Oct 2017 : A team comprising of 4 students (E.D. Gopikrishna VI A, Aadhithyan.V.T VI A, Prathima Abirami.S VI C, Akhila.P.S VI C) was selected for National level Jet Toy Competition organized by SAE-India, which will be held on 21 st Jan 2018 at Pune in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra Research valley.

She was also Honoured by our honourable Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi K. Palaniswamy for receiving National championship.
