1 Court Fields School Achieve Belong Participate rd December 7 th December 2018 EVENTS THIS WEEK:- 6 th December - Year 9 Progress Reports Home FOOD CONTAINERS We have many containers which have again accumulated in the Food Technology rooms. If you are missing any, then please ask your child to check and collect by the end of term. It is always helpful to ensure your child s name is on their container so that any strays can quickly be reunited with their rightful owner. ADVANCE NOTICE OF RESIDENTIAL TRIPS In order to help parents plan ahead whilst their child is at Court Fields, we will be publishing a table of residential trips and visits that we hope will happen over the next 5 years, from January 2019, in the next edition of the Parent Bulletin. We hope you find this useful. Details of these events will be given in plenty of time so that payments can be spread out, rather than having to pay in one lump sum.
2 CAROL SERVICE YEARS 7 AND 8 The annual Carol Service at St John s Church for Years 7 and 8 will take place on Tuesday 11 th December. A letter is on its way home, giving more details. CHRISTMAS LUNCH AND CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY Christmas Lunch is on Wednesday 12 th December. This is the only food that will be served at lunchtime on that day. A letter is going home with more details and a booking form, which must be returned by Monday 10 th December. Please encourage your child to take part. Christmas Jumper Day is in aid of the Save the Children charity. Students wear normal school uniform, but can swap their blazer for a festive jumper and we ask for a donation of 1 for Save the Children. This year, we have decided to combine Christmas Lunch and Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday 12 th December. YEAR 11 REPORTS As you may be aware, Year 11s will start their Pre-Public Exams (PPEs) on January 21 st So that we can give accurate and personalised comments for each student, we have decided to delay Year 11 reports until after the PPE exams. If in the meantime you would like any feedback on the progress of your Year 11 child, please contact their teacher in the usual way.
