6 ACADEMIC PREPARATION Structured into five schools: School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences (32%) School of Business (23%) School of Education (20%) School of Humanities and Social Sciences (15%) School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts (9%) Business Management and Finance, Accounting, Psychology, Computer Science, Education, Television and Radio, and Biology are amongst our top majors. The College-wide Core Curriculum is a mandatory requirement for all candidates for a baccalaureate degree, which provides students with a broad background in the liberal arts and sciences.

10 FORMATION OF THE MAGNER CAREER CENTER The Magner Career Center was formed in 2004 with the generous support of alumna Marge Magner. She plays an active role and is very committed to the success of the center. Marge Magner is a founding member and Partner of Brysam Global Partners. Ms. Magner has over 30 years of operating and deal experience in the consumer financial services sector. Prior to the formation of Brysam, Ms. Magner served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Consumer Group at Citigroup. She has been recognized numerous times including Fortune magazine list of Most Powerful Women in Business from (#5) and Forbes magazine list of World's Most Powerful Women (#19 in 2004), among others. Currently, Ms. Magner is a Director of Accenture Ltd, and Ally Financial, Inc., and is Chairman of the Board of Gannett. Ms. Magner also serves on the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn College Foundation and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Ms. Magner holds a BS degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College and an MSIA degree from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University.
11 11 Magner Career Center Leadership After a successful corporate career with Accenture, Target, NY Times and McCann Erickson, Natalia Guarin- Klein began her career in Higher Education. She shares her real world experience, experience as a first generation college student and Latina and network to benefit Brooklyn College students. Natalia Guarin-Klein became Director after 12 years at the Center in various roles. She spearheaded many new initiatives and revitalized existing programs including establishing the company visit program, creating the Rising Stars and Employer conferences, revamping the internship stipend program and internship workshop, coordinating highly successful alumni speakers. Under her leadership, the Magner Career Center continues to build lasting relationships with students and alumni, opening up many new employment opportunities for graduating students. She earned an MA in Industrial Organizational Psychology from New York University and her undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton
