5 THE ADMISSION PROCESS UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS 1. BACHELOR OF ARTS Apply through the Office of Admission by March 1. English Proficiency Requirement: TOEFL 68 ibt or equivalent 2. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACADEMIC BRIDGE PROGRAM (ELAB) ELAB is an academic bridge program designed for students with a first language other than English. It provides one term of English language courses in addition to regular undergraduate courses. Apply through the Office of Admission by March 1. English Proficiency Requirement: 61 ibt TOEFL 67 ibt or equivalent 3. ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) Coe s ESL program strives to prepare students, whose first language is not English, for academic study in the United States. Upon completion of their ESL program, students can apply for admission to an undergraduate degree program. Apply directly to Coe's English as a Second Language Department at by March 1. English Proficiency Requirement: TOEFL 60 ibt or equivalent FINANCING YOUR COE EDUCATION Apply by the March 1 application deadline to be considered for scholarships and other financial aid. All admission decisions and financial aid award notifications will be issued by April 1. Students are encouraged to seek out additional financial support through family funds, government agencies or cultural organizations.
