2 Experience FAMU: In Spring 2017, The Division of Student Affairs created the FAMU Immersive Initiative as a way to explore the use of 360-degree Photography and Virtual Reality technology in its student engagement efforts. The initiative, which was first piloted by the School of Business & Industry was introduced to the FAMU Board of Trustees during their June Meeting (2017). The Division is using the Summer term to pilot several 360-degree/VR Experiences. Please take a look around and #ExperienceFAMU like never before. 2

It is the home of the FAMU College of Education's Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. The Center hosts FAMU Convocations and Commencement Exercises. It is also the home of the Rattler Men s and Women s Basketball teams and the Volleyball home games. The main arena area features bleacher seating for 8470 people, a video scoreboard, and a first-class arena sound system. 4

This mandate gave birth to what would later become the Black Archives Research Center and Museum. The center was founded in 1976 by Florida A&M University history professor, Dr. James N. Eaton.
