4 S3 Broad General Education At the end of S2, pupils will make a choice. They will study up to 8 subjects and this will be within the curricular areas. S3 will also follow a skills based courses for 2 blocks a week. 18 Skills Development Scotland Career Ready previously Career Academy A charity set up and governed by senior business leaders The aim is to raise students aspirations and bridge the gap between education and work by giving them access to real experience (skills for learning, life & work) It is a two year programme during S5 & S6 for middleachieving students aged which offers a business mentor for two years and 4 weeks paid work experience in the summer between S5 and S6

19 Skills Development Scotland Edinburgh College College courses provide the opportunity for pupils to study a course at college as part of their school timetable Courses range from Higher Psychology to a range of more vocational courses and more recently foundation apprenticeship courses Information will be available soon in school On the option form college runs in Column C
