9 Multiplication of Fractions and Mixed Numbers Words of advice: In order to multiply fractions and/or mixed numbers, you need to make sure that each number in your product has a numerator and a denominator. In other words, if you are given a whole number, put it over the number 1. Likewise, if you are given a mixed number, convert it into an improper fraction. Once all numbers have a numerator and a denominator, multiply across the top and across the bottom. Then, simplify your answer if possible. Write your final answer as a mixed number!
