Students to research the topic using textbooks, internet, expert interviews, visits etc. Strand 3 IT Systems Students study the technology behind the use of IT in the specific field to apply the idea that all IT systems contain: Input of data, Process of this data, and Output the Researching topic Preparing images Writing text Designing slide (Master slides) Creating animations and transitions Developing a narration Collaborating with other group members Describing and explaining how IT affects a chosen area of society. Understanding how IT systems function and their role in everyday life. Applying, analyzing and evaluating the impact of IT on society. They will also discover that IT systems are not just the Hardware and the Software, but also the People who use the system in a Standard way and the Data is processed. Students are required to make a 5 slide presentation describing & explaining how IT system works in their chosen area from Strand 2. Strand 1 Social and Ethical significance: Reliability & Integrity; Security; Privacy & Anonymity; Intellectual property; Authenticity; Digital divide & Equality of access; Surveillance; Globalization & Cultural diversity; Policies; Standards & protocols; People and machines; Digital citizenship. Students learn about the impacts of IT by applying these areas to their topic and analyzing and evaluating the effects.
