Chorus Concerts in the Performing Arts Center. 10:30-11:05 JK, Kindergarten, 1, 2 11:10-11:30 7, 8 11:30-12:05 5, 6 12:05-12:40 3, 4 When children are not performing, they will be in their classrooms for special activities. 12:45 Cosmic Chances Drawing for $10,000 Maypole, performed by Eighth Grade. 1:00 Dismissal for all students in Grades JK-8 (There is no Late Gates). Dress for Grandparents and Special Friends Day: Grades JK-3 Girls: Spring dresses, or bright, colorful shirts with skirts, pants, or shorts. Boys: Grades 4-8 Colorful polo shirts, nice shorts or pants. Girls: Spring dresses, or blouse and skirt. No shorts. Shoes no sneakers. 4-7 Boys: Bright or pastel colored polo or buttondown shirts and khakis (long or short). Shoes no sneakers. 8 Boys: White or pastel colored button-down shirts and khaki pants (no shorts). Shoes no sneakers. A big thank you from Teachers and Staff to all parents who brought in flowers and helped with arranging them for Teacher Appreciation Day. Also a special thank you to Anne Walker, Wendy Heuer, Carol Jahnke and Britzie McConnell that put together the delicious lunch. It is always appreciated! FAMILY CAMP OUT! Saturday, May 5th. Please note: if the Camp Out is canceled due to weather, we will post it on the Hill School website. Please check the website before you come out to the campsite.

Alumni Reception, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm The Hill Auction Cosmic Celebration Calling for book fair volunteers! The fair will be the week of May 21. The rough schedule is as follows: Monday, May 21: Books arrive Tuesday, May 22: Set Up (need volunteers) Wednesday, May 23: sale (need volunteers) Thursday, May 24: Sale/breakdown/pack up (need volunteers) Friday, May 25: Books picked up The greatest need for volunteers will be for set up and pack up, but could use help during sales as well. Please Lauren Vogan at laurenvogan@aol.com or call her on her cell at You are invited to join in Screen-Free Week, May 7-11, the annual celebration where families, schools and communities all across the country turn off entertainment screen media (TV, video games, computer games, apps, etc.) and turn on life! It s 5 days to unplug and read, play, daydream, create, explore nature, and spend more time with family and friends. You may listen to music and use the computer for homework. Everyone who successfully completes the entire week screen free will be treated to ice cream from Mrs. Walker. To participate in Screen Free Week, fill out the sheet below and bring it to the Front Desk by Monday, May 14th! Every student who successfully completes the entire week screen free will be treated to ice-cream by Mrs. Walker. Student s Name Grade My child was screen free the entire week. A Farm Less Ordinary is offering weekly delivery of organic vegetables to Middleburg this summer. Windy Hill Foundation s Friday Feast program provides dinner to seniors living at Levis Hill House in Middleburg every other Friday year-round. We are looking for volunteers to cook for 3 to 5 people once a month, a quarter, or as your schedule allows! Meals can be dropped off on Friday afternoons between 2:00 and 5:00pm. Sign up and further instructions are available online it is easy and so very much appreciated by our seniors. It has high sentimental value and is irreplaceable. If you find this purse, please put it on the table by Mr. Daum s room in the fifth-grade hallway.
