8 Flight Training Courses Heli-Col lege Can ada of fers three main courses to stu dents with no pre vi ous Ro tary Wing train ing. The fol low ing hourly rates in clude flight time, instructor time, fuel and in sur ance ex penses. The ground school rate includes brief ings, lec tures, an au dio vi sual li brary, and com puter self study pro grams. The cost of a flight train ing course is de pend ent on the type of he li cop ter chosen for train ing. To de ter mine the to tal course cost, mul ti ply the re quired num ber of he li cop ter flight hours by the hourly rate and add in sim u la tor, books, and ground school fees for that course. The fol low ing types of helicopters are avail able: Rob in son R $520.00/hr. Rob in son R22 (IFR) $550.00/hr. Hughes 500 (MD500) $ /hr. + fuel Bell $ /hr. + fuel All prices are quoted in Ca na dian Dol lars. The fol low ing pages show a break down of course fees. The sam ple course out lines are based on the R22 rate per hour. Please note that since our course charges are based on tar iff rates, these fees are sub ject to change in accordance with tar iff changes. There fore, it is rec om mended that you confirm the cur rent course rates prior to reg is tra tion.
