February, as per following scheduled at different SAI COEx/ STC/SAG/./Extn. Centres /Akharas under the jurisdiction of SAI, Central Regional Center, Bhopal which will be supervised by a selection committee comprising of Arjuna Awardee/International player, representative of State Govt. /State/ National Sports Federations and coaches. 4 RESIDENTIAL SCHEMES :- Selected players under Residential Scheme are provided following facilities from SAI: 1. Boarding expenditure Rs.175/- per day per head 2. Sports Kit-Rs.5000/- per head per year 3. Accidental Insurance Rs.150/- per head per year 4. Competition Exposure Rs.3000/- per head per year, 5. Education Exposure Rs.1000/- per head per year 6. Medical expenses and scientific backup. 7. Modern infrastructure, sports equipments and scientific coaching by experienced coaches. Norms / Criteria for selection for SAI Schemes under Residential are as follows: 1. Age Yrs. 2. (A).Automatic admission I) Norms /criteria for individual events as follows: 1) First 4 positions in individual event i) National games ii) National championship (relevant age group) held by National Sports Federation (NSF) only once in a year. OR 2) Those who have won First / Second place in their event i) All India School Games Federation competition. ii) Inter State competition organized by NSF only once in a year. iii) Inter Zonal competition organized by NSF only once in a year. iv) All India Circuit meet/permit meet competition organized by NSF OR 3) For those player who have won 1 st or 2 nd place in State Championship organized by State Association shall be given automatic admission. II) Norms /criteria for Team events as following : 1) For those who have won 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place in following : i) National Games ii) National championship (relevant age group) held by Federation (NSF) only once in a year. OR 2) Sports person who are member of team winning first and second position at i) All India School Games Federation competition. ii) Inter Zonal competition organized by NSF only once in a year. iii) All India Federation cup competition organized by NSF OR 3) For those who have won 1 st or 2 nd place in State Championship organized by State Association only once in a year. OR 4) Represented State in the National championship organized by NSF only once in a year.

5 2.(B) Admission after Holding competition /selection trials : I. For Individual Event The first three position holders of Distt. Championship, Inter Education Distt. Level competition s championship held by recognized by Public schools, /CBSC/KVS/NV/ or PYKKA etc. can be eligible to participate in selection trials which will be conducted by SAI. II. For Team Event The first Two (02) position holders of Distt. Championship, Inter Education Distt. Level competition s championship held by recognized by Public schools, /CBSC/KVS/NV/ or PYKKA etc. can be eligible to participate in selection trials which will be conducted by SAI. Note- 2.(B) will be decided only after vacant seats through Sl.no. 2(A) i.e. direct /automatic admission. 2.( C) On the basis of Extra Height/Specific Anthropometric / battery Test and medical fitness and assessment coaching camp for Volleyball, Basketball, K&C, Age- Boys Girls Under -14 above 165cms. +160cms Under cms +165cms Above cms +170cms

6 DAY BOARDING SCHEME Selected players under Day Boarding Scheme are provided following facilities from SAI: 1) Stipend-Rs.6000/-per head per year 2) Sports Kit-Rs.5000/- 3) Accidental Insurance Rs.150/- per head per year 4) Medical and scientific backup. 5) Competition Exposure Rs.3000/- 6) Modern infrastructure, sports equipments and scientific coaching by experienced coaches. Selection will be conducted for STC/SAG / Extension Center, adopted schools under Day boarding scheme as per New Guidelines by SAI Head Office. 1. Age Yrs. 2(A).Automatic admission 1) Norms /criteria for individual events as following : i.) ii.) National 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place. State- 1 st,2 nd & 3 rd place 2) Norms /criteria for Team event as following : i) Participation in National level competition ( once in a year ) Note:-No School games, University and any other National/State level will be considered; only recognized Federation /State Association will be considered.

7 GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION IN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE SCHEME AT SAI BHOPAL The trainees in COEx scheme would be admitted in the age group of years. Admission will be made after age verification and medical examination. Selection criteria: (Automatic admission) For individual game: 1. Sports persons who obtain first 04positions in individual events of all age groups (Sub Jr., Jr., Cadet, Youth, Sr. etc) at the a. National Games b. National Championships (relevant age groups) held by National Sports Federation yearly (once a year) OR c. Participation in last Olympic Games, Asian Games/Championships, World Championships/World Cup (all age groups). For Team Events: 1. Sports person belonging to following categories i.e. Members of national team ( Sr., Jr, Sub Jr., Youth, Cadet, etc) selected by respective National Sports Federations. Members of medal winning team (first and second only) in Sub Jr./Jr/Youth/Cadet/ Sr. categories at a. National Games b. National Championships organized by recognized National Sports Federation yearly (once a year). c. Participation in Asian games/championships, World Championship/World Cup and Olympic Games( all age groups) Admissions will be given in the following disciplines for COEx 1. 8 AKHARAS/NSTC SCHOOL SCHEME The selection of trainees under Akharas/NSTC School Scheme is done on potential and performance basis for the age group of 8 to 14 years. Selected players under Akharas/NSTC School Scheme are provided following facilities from SAI: For Regular Akharas: 1. Stipend of Rs.1000/- per month per player for 10 months in a year. 2. Insurance coverage. 3. Modern sports equipment and facilities. 4. Grand for multi gym, wrestling mates etc. for the Akhara. 5. Scientific coaching by experienced coaches. Regular NSTC Schools: 1. Stipend of Rs.300/- per player per month for 10 months in a year. 2. Sports kit of Rs.2000/- per player per year. 3. Competition exposure of Rs.2000/- per player per year. 4. Insurance coverage. 5. Grant of Rs.20000/- for equipment etc. for the school annual. 6. Scientific coaching by experienced coaches. Norms/Criteria for selection in Akharas/NSTC School Scheme: i) Medal winners in State/National level competition ii) iii) Medal winners in district level competitions or participation in state level competition. Through organizing competitions amongst the participants. The selection will be made through Battery of Tests, age verification and Medical Examination.
