STATEWIDE ORIENTATION DAY Tuesday 11th December Whilst our new Prep for next year visit us, we have our Grade 6 students visit their new school for the start of their Secondary schooling experience. We hope they all have a lot of fun and are excited about SCHOOL KIDS BONUS If you are eligible for the SchoolKids Bonus you need to make sure that you check and update your children s enrolment details online before the end of the year. Families receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A and others receiving certain income support payments are eligible for the Schoolkids Bonus. 2 CRE CONCERT Students went to the Anglican Church and took part in our Annual Concert. Some students took part in the performance and others joined in with the singing. Grade 6 students received a special blessing and a bible. Thank you to our CRE teachers Norma Breukers, Megan Watts & Rev Pam Fraser. 2
3 On Wednesday 5th December, the grade 6 s went into Luna Park for their Celebration Day. We met at Lilydale station at 8:20 and caught a train into Southern Cross station. We then had to catch a tram to St. Kilda where Luna Park is. We lined up outside until 10am and were let into Luna Park one school at a time. We had to listen to a safety briefing before we could go and put out bags down. Once we had our spot and Miss Jewell and Mr Poulton had spoken to us, we were allowed to run off and go on all of the rides. We really enjoyed having our own freedom to run around by ourselves and go on the rides we wanted to. There were heaps of rides to choose from which was great. All of the grade 6 s really enjoyed the day. It was so much fun. Thanks to Miss Jewell for allowing us to go and organising such a fun day. Thanks to Mr Poulton and Mrs S for coming along and joining in on all of the fun. 3
