1 ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME Learning Mobility of Individuals Mobility for General Education and VET Staff Psychological Intervention at Schools in Germany Description and Goals First, the participants receive basic knowledge about German culture and the German education system. Based on this, topics around psychological health will be approached and specified in greater detail. What are reasons for the emersion of psychological instabilities especially in schools? What is important to avoid these imbalances? How is dealt with these problems in practice? Supported by visits in institutions of special education the participants will acquire a detailed overview of psychological intervention at German schools. The workshop aims to develop a wide range of skills for people working in the educational sector to prevent and deal with psychological instabilities of others. In addition to the educational content of the programme the participants will get the chance to improve their language and soft skills and experience Halle (Saale) through cultural visits and other free time activities. Target group This workshop is customised for teaching and administrative staff in VET schools or any other public or private organisation active in the fields of education, training and youth who would like to improve their competences in dealing with factors causing psychological illness especially at schools. The intensity and complexity of the units can be varied according to the previous knowledge and educational objectives of the participants. 2 Unit 2: Handling Psychological health Analysing reasons for development of psychological instabilities Recognising triggers Developing strategies to avoid these triggers Understanding the psychological factor that may lead to truancy and dealing with it Providing an insight to German institutions working in psychological health and special education Unit 3: Dealing with bullying and cyber-bullying in schools Identifying distinctive features of bullying behaviour Finding strategies to deal with offenders Developing skills to support victims of bullying Developing ways to prevent bullying Project Funding The costs for this training programme can be fully or partially (depending on the number of participants) covered by project funding from the Erasmus+ programme (Key Action 1: Mobility). Please contact your National Agency for information on funding details. Personal Competences Unit 4: Ability to cooperate with others and reach one s goals in a different cultural environment Observing cultural and social conditions and circumstances and comparing to one s own experience Planning and initiating common activities and tasks with people from (a) different cultural background(s) Using gained insight about the other cultural environment to solve problems and tasks Methods The practical training course uses a learner-centred approach. Learning and discussion content will be visualised on pinboard, whiteboard, flipchart and PowerPoint. Among others, methods used in the training course will be: - Brainstorming and mind mapping - Role plays - Case studies - Observing and describing - Group discussions - Presentation and demonstration - Study visits Certification Upon completion of the mobility period, the participants will receive a certificate by WBS TRAINING, supplemented by the description of learning outcomes according to the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) principles. ECVET facilitates the transfer and recognition of learning outcomes acquired in another country and supports transparency of qualifications. WBS TRAINING also supports the sending organization in issuing the europass mobility. 3 Culture and Leisure You can find a real insider s tip in the heart of Germany: Halle an der Saale. As a city located in the center of Germany at the river Saale, Halle has got a lot of things which are waiting to be discovered. The locals, known as Hallenser, are proud of Halle s unique cultural programmes and the historic university. Besides the big houses, like the opera or the variety theatre, there are many small theatres you must visit to enjoy the distinctive atmosphere of Halle. For art lovers Halle offers many small and independent galleries and the art college Burg Giebichenstein as one of the best German art schools. As the greenest city of Germany, Halle has several small and big parks and forests, of which the areas around the river isle Peißnitz are the most popular. Fans of athletics, outdoor activities and outdoor barbecue will find true satisfaction, believe us! The city offers a lot to satisfy the wishes of its visitors. The quaint Saale-riversides with small beaches invite you to stay, enjoy and relax, as well as the great choice of different cafés and bars all around the city.
