1 THE MWALIMU NYERERE MEMORIAL ACADEMY APPLICATION FOR STUDYING AT THE MWALIMU NYERERE MEMORIAL ACADEMY DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018 The Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA) invites applications from qualified Tanzanians and non-tanzanians to study the following Technician Certificate, Ordinary Diploma and Bachelor Degree Programmes at Kivukoni Main Campus Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar Campus during the Academic Year 2017/2018. The Programmes are as follows: CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES Youth Work Human Resources Management Community Records, Archives and Information Management DURATION ENTRY REQUIREMENT 1 year At least four (4) passes at D grade or above in any subject excluding religious subjects in CSEE. Basic Technician Certificate Library and Information Management Economic Accountancy Business Administration Procurement and Supply 1 year The minimum entry qualification is four (4) passes at least D grade in any subject excluding religious subjects in a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE). In addition, the four passes must include a pass in any of the following subjects: Basic Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Geography, Commerce and other science related subjects. Information and Communication Technology 1 year The minimum entry qualification is four (4) passes at least D grade in any subject excluding religious subjects in a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (SCEE). In addition, the four passes must include

2 pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language. DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES Ordinary Diploma in Social Studies Ordinary Diploma in Human Resource Management Ordinary Diploma in Gender Issues and Ordinary Diploma in Library and Information Management Ordinary Diploma in Community Ordinary Diploma in Records, Archives and Information Management DURATION ENTRY REQUIREMENT 2 years At least one principal pass with a subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE). A relevant Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) or any other relevant one year Certificate obtained from any learning institution registered by the Government or recognized by any Government body of the country of study. DEGREE PROGRAMMES: DURATION ENTRY REQUIREMENT Form VI with two Principal passes in History, Geography, English, Kiswahili, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture and Commerce. Bachelor Degree in Management of Social Bachelor Degree in Economics of Diploma in Social Studies OR Diploma in Gender and, Community / Full Technician Certificate in Human Resource Management, Record Man agent, Social Work, Journalism, International Relational and Diplomacy, Secretarial Studies and Office Management Administration, Performing Arts with an average of GPA 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Form VI with two Principal passes from the following subjects: Economics, Accountancy, Commerce, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture. Diploma in Economic of OR Diploma in Community / Full Technician Certificate in Procurement and Supply Management, Marketing, Accountancy, Financial Administration, Business Administration, Local Government Accountancy and Finance, Public Sector Finance, Management, with an average of GPA 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Geography and History Form VI with two passes from Geography and History subjects. Diploma of Education in Geography

4 and History with an average of C, Administration, Adult and Continuing Education, with an average of GPA 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Kiswahili and English Languages Form VI with two passes from Kiswahili and English subjects. Diploma of Education in Kiswahili and English with an average of C, Administration, Adult and continuing 3.0 or above AND 4 Passes at O Bachelor Degree in Gender and Form VI with two Principal passes in History Geography, English, Kiswahili, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture and Commerce, Diploma in Gender and OR Diploma in Community /Full Technician Certificate, Nursing, Travel and Tourism, Police Sciences, Social Studies, Social Work, Economic of, Record Management, Human Resource Management with an average of GPA 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Level. Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management Form VI with two Passes from the following subjects; English, History, Kiswahili, geography, Agriculture, Economics and Commerce. Diploma in Human resource Management OR Diploma in Gender and, Community /Full Technician Certificate, Social Studies, Record Man agent, Social Work, Journalism, International Relation and Diplomacy, Secretarial Studies and Office Management with an average of GPA 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Form VI with two passes from

5 Geography and Kiswahili Kiswahili and English subjects. Diploma of Education in Kiswahili and English with an average of C, Administration, Adult and continuing 3.0 or above AND 4 Passes at O Geography and English History and English History and Kiswahili Form VI with two passes from Geography and English subjects. Diploma of Education in Geography and English with an average of C, Administration, Adult and Continuing 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Form VI with two passes from History and English subjects. Diploma of Education in History and English with an average of C, Administration, Adult and Continuing 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O Form VI with two passes from History and Kiswahili subjects. Diploma of Education in History and Kiswahili with an average of C, Administration, Adult and Continuing 3.0 or above AND 4 passes at O MODE OF APPLICATION 1. All applicants for Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor Degree Programmes must apply direct through Online Admission System of the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA) available in our website: or visit admission office at the MNMA Kivukoni Campus or MNMA - Zanzibar Campus for assistance. 2. Each applicant for Certificate and Diploma Programmes are required to pay an application fee of Tsh. 20,000/= for Tanzanian Citizens and US 13 $ for Non Tanzanian Citizens while applicants for Bachelor Degree Programmes are required to pay Tsh. 30,000/= for Tanzanian Citizens and US 40 $ for Non Tanzanians.
