1 Target Tracker for KS1 & KS2 Teaching staff Autumn Term Action How? When? Book training? New staff this year? Call our Sales team on option 1 to discuss training options. SEP Check Contextual data. Correct children, SEN, EAL, PP data? Pupil Selection > Other > Contextual If incorrect ask Admin staff to review and update in the MIS, then update Target Tracker using data exported from the MIS. Regularly through the year Identify and save groups Groups > Edit Pupil Groups Create and save groups of children to assess or analyse together. If the groups have been set up by another user these groups can be viewed and shared by clicking on the Sharing button. 2 Enter Formative assessments Steps > Statements Highlight statements to indicate each pupil s understanding of the Programme of Study. Ongoing through year Data can be entered for individual pupils or groups of pupils. Enter Summative assessments Steps > Steps > Single Subject Enter data for individual pupils informed by the dynamic bar and teacher s knowledge of the child OCT / DEC This can be done halftermly (Aut1) or termly (Aut2) Check and adjust end of year targets if necessary. Write and Admin users only. If pupils do not have any Yr1 Aut1 or Yr2 Sum2 Step Assessment, you can enter their targets manually. Right click on a Step to enter an end of year target After first Step assessment has been made
3 Identify intervention groups for targeted support Make groups of children, identify by using the Age Related Profile report (See guidance above for saving groups) After first Step assessment has been made Enter Autumn 2 Steps Summative Teacher Assessment data and Review progress in statements and steps using reports. DEC
4 Review and update intervention groups Groups > Edit Pupil Groups Use the Gap Analysis report to check progress against statements DEC Spring Term Action How? When? Repeat Statements and Steps data entry for Spring 1 (half-termly) and/or Spring 2 (termly) FEB / MAR Review progress of all pupils in Statements and Steps using reports. FEB / MAR Track intervention groups to review provision and support Use Groups tab to choose saved Pupil Groups to assess their attainment and progress using reports. Update groups if required Ongoing through year Choose Edit Pupil Groups to update pupils in the groups.
5 For Year 2 and Year 6 Teachers Run Gap Analysis Report for the End of Key Stage Statements This enable you to review the Pupils understanding of the statements used to provide an End of Key Stage Assessment. Select Subject then Interim Framework Statements and choose the standard you wish to review. Ensure that all the appropriate bands linked to that standard are selected using the Bands button. All year groups - repeat Statements and Steps data entry for Summer 1 Review progress, track and update intervention groups MAY MAY For Year 2 Teachers Steps > Steps Tracking Grid > Tests Enter National Test results MAY Select the required cell and then right click to edit the cell or the whole SAT column. When the thresholds become available the Scaled and Outcome columns will populate.
6 Prepare the end of year Parent Reports Steps Reports > Parents > Parent An Admin user sets options to apply to the whole schools end of year Parent reports Teaching Staff can then edit the report through the options available on the ribbon. MAY / All year groups - enter Statements and Steps for Summer 2 JUN For Year 1 and Year 2 Teachers Enter Year 1 Phonics scores and Year 2 resit scores Steps > Tracking Grid > Tests > Phonics Test Select the required cell and then right click to edit the cell or the whole Phonics column. When the thresholds become available, the Outcome column will populate. JUN For Year 2 and Year 6 Teachers Enter End of Key Stage Interim Framework TA data for KS 1 and KS 2 Steps > End of Key Stage > End of Key Stage 1 or 2 For detailed guidance please use the Support Articles on our website. JUN / Export Parent Reports for final checking before printing and to archive a copy of each report in Microsoft Word. JUN /
7 For Year 6 Teachers Steps > Steps Tracking Grid > Tests Enter National Test results manually or by importing a file from NCA Tools. Instructions for NCA Tools process available from the Support page of our website. Print the End of Key Stage reports for Parents Select the required cell and then right click to edit the cell or the whole SAT column. When the thresholds become available the Scaled and Outcome columns will populate.
