2 ABOUT FLINDERS Matthew Flinders Anglican College is a co-educational school that educates and cares for more than 1,300 students from Early Learning to Year 12. The College was established in 1990 and is centrally located on the Sunshine Coast at Buderim. The College has extensive facilities, comprehensive sporting and co-curricular programs and is committed to effective technology use to enhance educational opportunities. The College enjoys an outstanding academic record with almost 90% of graduates proceeding to tertiary studies and equally impressive results in our arts, music and sports programs. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Develop concepts and layout for the design of print and digital marketing collateral. Ensure that all digital and print marketing collateral are of a high standard and are aligned to the brand and photo guide. Manage the visual elements of the school s website to ensure it reflects the brand, key differentiators and current activities are communicated effectively and appropriately. Develop social media content that is appropriate and timely and engages with the wider College community. Produce engaging photography and videography for the College s communication channels. 3 POSITION SCOPE The Digital Marketing Co-ordinator is: Responsible for assisting with the development of marketing collateral (print and digital). Required to support the delivery of the Marketing and Communication Plan and ensure material is aligned to the brand style guide. A member of the Central Administration Team. Responsible to the Director of Community Engagement for the day-to-day performance of duties. This position works under the supervisor s guidance and direction using established procedures and practices. Expected to maintain professional, confidential and courteous communications and relationships with teaching and support staff colleagues, parents, students and the wider College community at all times and remain calm when placed in a stressful situation. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS There are no staff reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Co-ordinator. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Currently enrolled or studying a Degree in Marketing or Communications. 2. Demonstrated experience using content management systems (such as WordPress and Joomla) and expertise with the Adobe Suite platform (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and Acrobat) are essential. 3. Experience in corporate social media management (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and solid understanding of SEO principles are also pre-requisites for this role. 4. Understanding of the technical aspects of photography and the ability to deliver high quality images that reflect the College s brand and key messages. 5. Ability to produce videos that support marketing and fundraising strategies. 6. Ability to write in a style which reflects the College s editorial style and voice. 7. Ability to rapidly learn and keep abreast of relevant digital marketing technologies and strategies. 8. Demonstrated ability to contribute to team outcomes by being flexible and supportive of other team members. 9. Ability to maintaining an approachable disposition and professional and courteous manner when liaising with students, parents, visitors, staff and other members of the public. 10. Strong professional interpersonal skills are required and the ability to work as a constructive member of the Community Relations team including a professional and courteous manner with students, parents, visitors, staff and other members of the public. 11. Ability to prioritise workloads within limited time frames, to be a constructive member of the team and an ability to manage simultaneous and numerous requests for assistance. 12. Hold a current drivers licence and hold or have the ability to receive a Suitability Card (Blue Card). 13. A willingness to embrace the Anglican ethos. This includes knowledge and understanding of appropriate equipment, legislation, policies and procedures. Develop concepts and layout for the design of print and digital marketing collateral. Ensure that all digital and print marketing collateral are of a high standard and are aligned to the corporate brand and photo guide. Manage the visual elements of the College s website to ensure it reflects the brand and that key differentiators and current activities are communicated effectively and appropriately. Develop social media content that is appropriate and timely and engages with the wider College community. Produce engaging photography and videography for the College s communication channels. Assist with market research including target audience identification, competitive analysis, qualitative web site profiling, search engine keyword analysis, and secondary research aggregation. Edit digital images, and videos; design page layouts, and use electronic publishing software Coordinate digital document templates Coordinate internal image database Provide recommendations for search engine optimization (SEO) Domain Three Personal and Professional Development Demonstrated experience and understanding of the need for continuation of both personal and professional development. Keeps abreast of digital marketing developments to make the most of emerging technologies Continually develops both personally and professionally to meet the changing needs of the College, its community and the education sector in general Evaluates own performance to identify strengths and areas where professional growth can occur. Attends all mandatory training sessions provided by the College and is actively involved in other training and development as required. Complies with relevant work, health and safety legislation.
