The Effects of Course Redesign in CRIJ 3340 Homeland Security. Journal of Criminal Justice Education. Research in Progress "Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Program Evaluation" (On-Going). This is the third year of the SoTL program developed by the CII Faculty Fellows and funded by the Provost and the Center for Instructional Innovation. The Faculty Fellows and the Director of CII would like to continue to study participants in this program (using survey tools, observations, and interviews) to determine if there is an impact on participants' teaching goals and/or participants perceive value in the program and have the ability and interest to complete the program, implement evidence-based teaching techniques, and sustain ongoing SoTL research. "The Effectiveness of the Substance Abuse Treatment Program at McLennan County CSCD on Relapse and Re-offending" (Writing Results). This research will be conducted through the comparison of case files in an effort to determine the effectiveness of the Substance Abuse Treatment program on offender relapse and re-offending, specifically examining the effectiveness of treatment by the offenders' characteristics of age, employment, prior treatment and support system. Case files from offenders on the Substance Abuse Caseload will be compared to case files of felony probationers with substance abuse histories to determine if the Substance Abuse Treatment program had an effect on relapse or re-offending.
