ASU Startup The Glendale Public Library As a member of the ASU Entrepreneurship Outreach Network, the Office of Economic Development in partnership with the Glendale Public Library, offers a six-part series of free classes to assist small business owners in learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Economic Development team members teach these engaging classes that are designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners learn how to express their ideas, build and identify a customer base as well as understand the cost and revenue needed to be successful business owner. Classes are offered several times a year. 5 Recent Successes in Glendale Westgate and the surrounding area continues to grow with the addition of new restaurants and amenities! Aloft recently broke ground on a new four-story 100-room hotel on April 10. The project is located at the southwest corner of 93rd and Glendale avenues, and features the company s newest design, which matches Westgate s hip and modern atmosphere. Olive Garden officially opened at 95th and Glendale avenues in February, and features a 7,757 square- foot Italian restaurant that can accommodate more than 270 guests. This has added 180 new jobs to the area. Dutch Bros. s new location in Westgate opened its doors in March, bringing coffee lovers a convenient location right on Glendale Avenue. This new building offers a two-lane drivethru that can handle more than 20 vehicles to support the wildly popular demand of this brand. The Lofts at Westgate is the latest addition of 76 luxury apartments in the heart of Westgate on the 3rd and 4th floors, providing the best views of the sports and entertainment district. The apartments range from 646 to 1,479 square-feet of loft-style living and have already begun welcoming their first residents. And there s more to come! Westgate is soon to welcome additional businesses, including Manna Korean BBQ, Twin Peaks and Fat Tuesdays, which are anticipated to open later this year.
