1 INTENSIVE SUMMER CLASSES Institute of French University of Orleans From June 22 nd until July 20 st 2018 Inscription deadline : May, 25 th Located in the heart of the Loire Valley (UNESCO World Heritage) and only one hour from Paris by train, the Institute of French language (IDF) is a good place to learn French language and discover the French culture. The Institute has been accredited with the label Qualité Français Langue Etrangère (Quality of French as a Foreign Language), which rewards the qualities of the establishment under 5 criteria: Premises, Greeting, Studies, Teachers and Management Each year, approximately 540 students from twenty non-francophone countries are welcomed, in the IDF to take courses in French as a foreign language (FLE). 2 During the summer, we offer to anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of French, whatever their level, intensive courses in French language and civilization. Students enrolled in this program are divided into four groups: LEVELS Intermediate -A2/B1 level of the CEFR: review the basic grammar. Improve your speaking and writing by learning the living culture of today's France. Beginner -A1 level of the CEFR 1 : familiarize yourself with the current French study by all kind of documents, with a focus on communication methods. Advanced -B1/B2 level of the CEFR: enrich your expression. Explore with us the current civilization of France and its roots. Higher -B2/C1 level of the CEFR: deepen your grammatical and cultural knowledge Common European Framework of Reference fo0r Languages. 2

3 TEACHING CONTENTS Général french Phonetic Songs or Theater Literature Grammar Written and oral exercices ACTIVITIES Cultural - Guiding tours of Orléans and its cathedral, - Visits of museums, Strolling on the markets.. Sports - Tree climbing, Mini-golf.. A day of discovery of the Loire Valley. 3

4 FEES Including courses, workshops and educational materials adapted to each level, a guiding tour of Orleans, a day in the Loire valley and a sport activity (without housing) You can choose between two types of accommodation: Host families Including a single room, breakfasts and evening meals on weekdays 475 Payment will be made directly to the host family on the first days of the stay. Extra meals taken with the family on weekends may be charged at the end of the stay at the rate of 5.50 per meal. Studio in a residence The studio is composed of a living room with a kitchenette (sink, hob and fridge) a bathroom with toilet. 5 REQUIREMENT AND ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES Minimum age: 18 years old, on June 21 st Complete and return the application form (along with a picture ID) to : Institut de Français de l Université d Orléans Anne-Claire MAUNY. 10, rue de Tours B.P ORLEANS Cedex Or stage.idf@univ-orleans.fr Pay a 200 deposit, deducted from the tuition fees, non-refondable, only by wire transfer to the Accountant of the University of Orleans (bank information available on request at the IDF) All inscriptions must be validated by the wire transfer of the 200 deposit within 15 days of the receipt of the registration form. In case of a cancelation: - After the payment of the entire living expenses (1,000 ) = a refund of 800 (excluding nonrefundable deposit) will be made by bank transfer. - After the payment of the housing fees in the residence = a 30% refund will be made by bank transfer.
