1 Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) Calendar
2 August 2018 First Twenty Day ELs IDENTIFICATION and PLACEMENT LPAC meetings take place. Campus ensures that LPAC parents are trained to participate in the LPACs. The Bilingual/ESL Department website has parent training materials and certificates. All members participating in the LPAC receive campus training on updates provided by the Bilingual/ESL Department. Campus maintains Eduphoria records of LPAC training. A special education representative needs to be present at the LPAC when discussing English language learners who are also special education. All pertinent signatures are recorded in the LPAC review and minutes BOY LPAC Training Secondary 9 BOY LPAC Training Elementary IPT/TERRA NOVA TRAINING Teachers and Aides-A/B Room Ad Building First Day of School BOY LPAC Parent Training Texas A/B 8:30-10:30 a.m BOY IDENTIFICATION TESTING: OLPT (IPT) testing window August 27 th September 7 th for NEW Pk-12 th grade students All PK and K, and students without two consecutive years of TELPAS data will need to be OLPT tested at the beginning of the year and end of the year. Norm-referenced test (Terra Nova) window for new 2 nd -12 th Grades without previous Texas testing records.
