7 Apprenticeships and Traineeships Secure employment and earn money while training in a trade or vocational area. 3-4 years of training for an apprenticeship with a qualified tradesperson. 1-2 years of training for a traineeship in non-traditional areas eg Aged Care, Business, Child Care

8 Pre-Apprenticeships School leavers can access pre-apprenticeship courses and study full-time for eg: Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology Certificate II in Construction (Trade Start) Certificate II in Engineering Certificate II in Horticulture TAFE has strong links with industry that can lead to young people gaining apprenticeships.
