During the year, students will develop advanced business skills, with a focus on the role of management, finishing with an in-depth business research project. If you already have an HND or a foundation degree in business, you can achieve an honours degree in Business and Management with just one more year of study. Bath Spa University is a well-respected higher education institution based in the southwest of England. 8 Course Entry Requirements As a potential student of UKCBC s top-up courses (in partnership with Bath Spa University), you will be expected to demonstrate your interest in business and/or tourism business and enterprise, be able to demonstrate your motivation for the subject, and be required to meet the following academic criteria in order to join: For entry to the Top-up Bachelor s Degree in Business and Management BA (Hons): Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Business Foundation degree from a UK university in a business-related subject Diploma in Higher Education from a UK University For entry to the Top-up Bachelor s Degree in Business and Management (Tourism Management) BA (Hons): Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Travel and Tourism Management Foundation degree from a UK university in a travel and tourism-related subject Diploma in Higher Education from a UK University Students who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied their entry qualification in English, must demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to: IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 being awarded on individual sections. 8. 9 Application Process STEP 1. A pre-admission (enquiry) form to be submitted to gain one-to-one information, advice or guidance (IAG) about the course and the College. STEP 2. An application form must be submitted with all necessary original documents that meet the course entry requirements. Documents to submit: - Valid ID proof - 2 passport-sized photographs - All educational documents - Updated CV - Personal statement - Address proof - UK residency status STEP 3. An assessment interview and test will follow once the application form and necessary documents have been submitted. STEP 4. A conditional place will be offered once the assessment outcome is positive, and an unconditional place will be offered upon the fulfilment of all conditions as per the initial offer.

10 Course Structure BACHELOR S DEGREE TOP-UP COURSES Why opt for a top-up course? UKCBC s bachelor s degree top-up courses are one-year classroom-based courses. Throughout the course, you will be required to study 5 modules (120 credits). If you choose to study a top-up degree after completion of an HND or foundation degree, you can graduate with two distinct qualifications (HND and BA (Hons)) for approximately 9,000 less than a full three-year bachelor s degree. That combination of practical and theoretical skills in two subjects could be the point of difference that helps you achieve your professional goals. UKCBC s new HND and bachelor s top-up pathway (delivered in partnership with Bath Spa University) gives students the choice to gain two undergraduate qualifications for a lower cost than one undergraduate bachelor s degree. The combined courses teach students a blend of practical, vocation skills through the HND programme and academic, theoretical knowledge through the bachelor s top-up degree. The combined HND and bachelor s top-up degree courses can be completed in three years, meaning you ll graduate alongside your peers. Broaden your professional options with UKCBC.
