He began his teaching Career at Degree College of Physical Education (HVPM) at Amravati (Maharastra) as Lecturer. He joined LNIPE in 1987 as research assistant and then in year 1995 as Lecturer in Physical Education. Dr. Ghai completed his PhD in Physical Education from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in He graduated in 1982 (Bachelor of Science- Math) from Jiwaji University and also done Post Graduation in 1984 (Master of Science, Physical Education) from LNCPE Gwalior. He also earned Master of Philosophy (Physical Education) from LNCPE in 1985 and Diploma in Spots Coaching (Gymnastics) from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala (India) in year Currently he is Head of Department of Sports Biomechanics.
