1 Cavelero Track and Field 2017 A legacy is an unforgotten memory that future generations attempt to aspire to. Legacies are born with team work, perseverance, and the determination to succeed. Legacies are not given, they are taken by the best of the best. Now is the time for you to be part of something great and continue the Cavelero Track and Field legacy!

2 Welcome to Cavelero Track and Field Welcome to the Cavelero Track and Field program! This program is centered on four primary goals: 1) increase speed and distances, 2) build endurance and strength 3) provide a safe training environment 4) make athletes LOVE track and field Practice days: Monday Thursday*** ***With the exception of Friday 4/14 there will be practice from 2:00 4:00 (We will send out a Remind) Practice time: Monday Thursday 2:10 pm to 4:00pm Start Location: Meet in the Main Gym w/school bag ready to participate Season Duration: First practice starts March 27 th. League Finals will be May 25 th. Awards: May 18th th Remind - to Materials Need: Athletes will need to bring running/throwing shoes and athletic clothes that are suitable for the weather (sun/rain/etc). Quality running/throwing shoes are critical for each athlete. Cheap shoes only result in doctors visits and injury. Great places to buy shoes include: Brooks Outlet Store Bothell Everett Highway Bothell, WA Run Main Street, Mill Creek, WA Safety: Safety is a top priority. Athletes will be trained how to conduct themselves on a track that will ensure safety (ex. Avoiding lane one and two, not going over the hurdles backwards, only one person in the discus ring, etc) Distance Runners will be running both on and off campus. If we run off campus athletes will never cross Highway 9, Highway 2, or Highway 204. League Finals: Only three athletes will be selected per event (except 800m and 1600m gets 5 athletes) for league finals. Selection is based on the following criteria: 1) Commitment to the team, 2) Attitude/Character, 3) Academic Standing, 4) Athletic Performance during the Season. Athletes sent to league finals are a reflection on the Cavelero track program, only athletes that are in good standing on all four categories will be allowed to compete in league finals.
