Also presented a paper entitled, Primary language instruction as a relentless trailblazer for young English language learners (through the Issues in Early Childhood Education SIG). AERA Annual Meeting, San Diego. Presented a paper on the impact April 2009 of two-way dual immersion programs on intergenerational relationships (through the Bilingual Research SIG). California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE) February 2009 yearly conference. Directed a workshop on issues concerning primary language literacy instruction. AERA Annual Meeting, New York City. Presented a paper on March 2008 achievement of students in dual immersion programs in predominantly Latino schools (through Bilingual Research SIG). California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE) July 2007 Two-Way Dual Immersion Conference. Conducted a workshop on research concerning the efficacy of dual-immersion in predominantly Latino schools. Azusa Pacific University, 2007: Presented on May 2007/2008 two-way dual immersion for a class on multicultural education for two consecutive years. Winter Gardens Elementary School, Los Angeles Carried out analyses and made presentations on the performance of this school on the California Standards Test in comparison with neighboring schools. Have presented data on the on the progress of the school s dual language students. California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE) July 2006 Two-Way Dual Immersion Conference. Presented periodic workshops to parents on augmenting students vocabulary and reading comprehension, as well as mathematics achievement to present Worked with Montebello Unified School District leadership to develop a standards-based report card.
