Sign Previously Approved Contracts 10. Adjourn The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for August 23, 2018, at 6:00 P.M. at Fairfield Community Schools Central Office. This meeting is a meeting of the School Board in public for the purpose of conducting the School Corporation's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There will be time for public participation as indicated by agenda item 2. The meeting site is fully-accessible. Any person requiring further accommodation should contact the Superintendent at the School Corporation's central office. 3 To: School Board of Trustees From: Steve Thalheimer, Superintendent RE: August 9, 2018, board meeting August 2, 2018 REPORTS FROM PHIL MENZIE: I have reviewed Phil s items and approve of what he is bringing for the meeting. NEW BUSINESS a. NEOLA Policies: I ask the board approve the board policy updates for polices provided on first read. Due to RIF policies changed in this batch, I will have administrative guidelines for board approval at the next board meeting. b. KG Paraprofessionals: I concur with Mrs. Gingerich and ask the board to approve two paraprofessional positions for kindergarten at New Paris. c. Creativity Fellowship: I support and ask the board to approve Mrs. Zook s request to apply to take part in the educator creativity fellowship next summer. As stated in her materials, she needs board approval to apply, and I will work to provide her documentation of your approval. d. Donation: I recommend the board accept the $2,200 donation from the Alumni Association to athletics for the golf program.
