With the blessings of Maa Samleswari, the month of August is filled up with an assortment of events and activities and this newsletter is a snapshot of happenings ranging from day packed with the feeling of patriotism, religious festivity and day of graduation. The final year BSC & BCOM appeared their TERM-I Examination from 17 th Aug -30 th Aug. First Semester Classes are commenced for all the streams. Third semester regular classes commenced after the completion of their 2 nd Semster examination. After the internal exams of BALLB (IInd & IVth Sem), they are preparing for their University Examinations going to be held in the second week of September, On 21 st Aug, BA students presented their first seminar on Poverty in India. The students beautifully presented the present scenario on poverty. This seminar gave the students an opportunity to learn more about how poverty affects people and what causes it, along with how they can help. The students also received tips on public speaking and planning an event, among other skills, from the faculties.

The chief Guest Shri Prassnna Acharya, MP, Rajya Sabha hoisted the national flag and motivated the young minds to think over the progress of India and feel proud that they are the inheritors of a great heritage. To mark the quintessence of the religious festival, Ganesh Chaturthi was observed in the campus on 25 th Aug. A huge idol of Ganesha was worshipped and the day ends with Prasad sevan. On the occasion of Independence Day, a Rangoli Competition was organized by Future Champs, a social outfit working towards society on 13 th Aug. The students beautifully made rangolis depicting India s different cultural facets. Miss Siprasupriya and group got 3 rd prize in the competition.
