2 Dear Parents, Welcome! I am so excited for you and your family to be a part of an rewarding and fun adventure with Victory s children ministry. If you are looking for a church that is Jesuscentered, biblically-based, doctrinally-driven, missions-minded, and discipleshipfocused then look no further. At Victory, we are as serious about instilling a passion for God in the younger generation as we are for our adults. We want to help your children grow up in the Lord and partner with you as you train your children to know and love Christ. If there is any way that we can be of service to you, please to do not hesitate to ask. We are excited to get to know your family and eager for you to know us. God is Good! Kyle Clifton Children s Pastor Victory Baptist Church Purpose of Victory s Preschool Ministry It is never too early to introduce preschoolers to the love of God. Our desire is to provide a safe, secure, clean and Christian environment where the foundational building blocks of faith can support the primary spiritual teaching of the home. Our desire is also to be an encouragement and resource to parents who strive to be living examples of Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Purpose of Victory s Children Ministry Victory Children s Ministry strives to provide spiritual direction for children by leading them to Treasure Christ, Grow Together, Serve One Another, and Live On Mission. Our job is to help you provide direction for your children s journeys so they will know the way, the truth, and the life. We lead children to treasure Christ by teaching them: How to have a personal relationship with Christ How to worship Christ What the Bible says & how to memorize key verses How to apply God s Word to their life We grow together by providing: Sunday Morning Classes Children s Church Wednesday Evening Classes Family Field Trips / Activities at Victory Our Victory teachers Our teachers are volunteers who are caring, loving, and positive role models who enjoy seeing your child discover that church is a good place to grow and learn. 2

3 Activities Schedule for FALL of 2017 through Summer of 2018 SEPTEMBER Fall of 2017 September 8 Game Night for Kids This is for 3rd up to 5th graders at Victory Baptist Church 6pm-9pm Pizzas and drinks will be provided Kids can bring their games to play Extreme Scavenger Hunt & Hid/Seek September 15 Victory Tailgate Party This is for Mount Juliet High School s parking lot 5:30pm tailgate (Free) 7pm Game ($12) Burgers/Hot Dogs and drinks will be provided. OCTOBER October 28 Fall Festival This is for Victory Baptist Church Outside 3:30pm-7:30pm / Free - Trunk & Treat at 6pm - Grill hot dogs, vendors, live music, inflatables, games 3

4 DECEMBER December 1 Parent s Night Out This is for children from age 4 up to 2nd grade Victory Baptist Church in the children area 6pm-9pm / $10 for first child then siblings $5. - Pizza/water for dinner, craft activities, bible story lesson, games, and a special surprise will be provided. December 6 Christmas Caroling / Playing games with the elderly. This is for P-K up to 5th Victory Baptist Church / One Nursing Home We will leave at 5:50pm and be back by 7:30pm - Families and adults are welcome to join us (RA s / GA s / Little children s classes will be involved.) December 9 Christmas Parade TBD w/ date This is for all children, families, and adults Friends & families can walk/ride with us with our float. PARADE STAGING DROP-OFF West Wilson Middle School (935 N. Mt. Juliet Rd) All participants should arrive at the staging area no later than 10:00AM. PARADE STARTS AT 11AM PARADE END PICK-UP 12PM Behind Mt. Juliet Middle School (3565 N. Mt. Juliet Road All participants and floats will end the parade behind Mt. Juliet Middle School. December 10 Children s Christmas Play This is for all children, families, and Victory Baptist Church - Play starts at 5pm - Children of 1st up to 5th graders can audition for role plays 4

5 FEBRUARY Spring of 2018 February 16 Ice Skating This is for P-K up to 5th Ford Ice Center in Antioch TN - We will leave at 6:45pm from Victory and be back by 9:45pm - 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM Ice Skating Cost - TBD MARCH March 25 Easter Egg Hunt This is for newborn up to 5th grade Victory Baptist Church Outside 2:30 for Kick off time to hunt Easter Eggs! Four different fields for each age group. APRIL April 2 The Zoo Wilson County School Closed This is for children for newborn up to 5th graders. (Families are encourage to Nashville Zoo Adults and Teens : $16 / Children (2-12) : $11 We will leave at 9am and be back by 2:45pm April 20 Kickball and Cook Out This is for children of 2 yrs old up to 5th graders. (Families are encourage to come) Bring desserts. Victory will provide the meal and the drinks. Cook Out starts at 5 and Kick-ball starts at 6 If the weather is raining on the date, it is canceled. 5

6 MAY May 4 Swimming Indoor This is for 1st up to 5th graders Jimmy Floyd Center in Lebanon, TN 6pm-8pm / $8 per child - We will depart from VBC at 5:30 and come back at 8:45pm. May 29 - June 1 Children s Day Camp This is for children of age 3 and Victory Baptist Church in the children area - 9:30am-12pm / $15 per child $25 for two siblings. JUNE June 4-7 Kid s Day Camp This is for K up to 6th Victory Baptist Church Outside - 8:30am-2pm / $10 per child June Centri-Kid Camp This is for 3rd up to 6th graders for Summer Campbellsville, KY June VBS This is for P-K up to 5th Victory Baptist Church - 8:30pm-12pm / Free 6
