This key position has recently become available and the Governing Body, together with the students, parents and staff, are seeking a talented individual who has the qualities to support the schools vision of Ignite a Passion for Learning. Stanley Park High is a vibrant and mixed community school, thoroughly trusted by the community it serves. To this end Stanley Park High operates a Schools within Schools model, whereby most of our 1100 students are divided in three smaller communities: Performance, Trade and World. It is how it is used that is most important. Our innovative and responsive curriculum ignites the learning experience of all our students. In Years 7 and 8 all students learn our unique competency based Excellent Futures Curriculum alongside English, Mathematics, Science, PE and MFL. 7 Job Description Scale: Responsible to: SO1/SO2 Network Manager Hours: 36 hours per week AYR Main Responsibilities Financial & General Management Manage media server system Manage printing system and hardware Manage digital signage and classroom capture systems Manage TV studio and radio systems Support the Network Manager in ensuring the effective functioning of the following in the school: ICT Networks and associated hardware and software. All ICT related hardware and software. CCTV system. Telephone system. Line manage the ICT support staff To deputise for the Network Manager Assist the Network Manager with the development of emerging technologies as appropriate Assist the Network Manager on strategic planning of all ICT and other related installations Assist the Network Manager in identifying, planning and costing all future developments and upgrades for the school s ICT infrastructure and liaise with outside agencies where appropriate Ensure data protection procedures are followed and comply with current requirements System Management Ensure regular checks are carried out for virus updates and scanning is performed on all PC s on a regular basis and any media brought into the school is checked Responsible for the installation of all new ICT equipment, relocation of existing, disposal of obsolete ICT equipment and the installation of servers as required Provide second level of support requests and deputise for ICT and Media technicians when dealing with all hardware, software and staff ICT related problems 7

8 Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the MLE, and network user account databases Ensure Health and Safety Regulations applicable to the use of ICT equipment are complied with Assist the Network Manager in managing, maintaining and developing the mobile environment for learning lorry Perform the annual audit of all ICT and related hardware inventory, including the supervision of the technicians during this procedure Assist the Network Manager with the disaster recovery and backing up of all systems, including maintenance and checks Technical and Admin Support Responsible with the Network Manager in ensuring integration of all school systems, including, biometric cashless catering and LRC systems; learning gateway platform and exports to MLE and Responsible for managing, testing and applying appropriate access rights for access to systems, applications and user accounts Responsible for identifying individual or group training requirements and arranging external bodies or in house staff who would best provide this service Ensure Health and Safety Regulations applicable to any aspect of the ICT support staff are complied with Liaise with external bodies including contractors; Management Information Services (MIS); partner schools and suppliers Responsible with the Network Manager with the administration of the SIMS system Support for the School Attend and support where appropriate, whole school events Be aware of and support differences to ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals to support achievement and progress of students Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality; reporting all concerns to the appropriate person Recognise own strengths and areas of specialist expertise and use these to advise and support others Contribute to the ethos and vision of the school Participate in and perform training and other learning activities and performance development as required To carry out other such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Headteacher 8
