We wish that you enjoy your long break with parents, family and friends. Try to utilize your time in such a way that you are able to sharpen your intellect as well as tone your body by doing exercises. Read, play and enjoy! We are giving you a variety of fun filled home work, worksheets and projects so that you will be in touch with the academics during this long summer break. Try to complete your work neatly since the best holiday activity wins prizes. Submit your homework to school on the first day of joining. Also, decide how many days a week you want to spend doing home work and for how long on each subject. Have the things you need for certain subjects with you so you don t have to waste time on searching for them. I wish you all a safe, healthy, memorable and a happy vacation. Note:- Library will function during vacations from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon from Monday to Friday. Tips for parents I would suggest that parents encourage their children to complete their assignments early ideally, before you go for vacation trips. Parents can best assist the process of learning by providing a consistent time and a quiet place for students to complete their home work and by showing a positive interest in it. Please make sure that your children are in touch with their text books during vacation. Regular reading and revision must be a part of daily routine. Encourage your child to read as many story books as possible and help them to maintain a personal library. Take them to a book shop and allow them to buy books. Converse with them in English and acquaint them with new words everyday. Do take your child for educational trips (Zoological Park, Herbal Garden, Planetarium etc.) and places of historical interest to acquaint them with their glorious past. Regards Headmistress 1
