4 Monday, 13 November 2017 Dear Colleague, Primary Teacher Foundation Stage Thank you for showing an interest in the position of Primary Teacher Foundation Stage at Caroline Chisholm School. The school is a dynamic, successful and highly over-subscribed all-through academy which covers an age range of 4 to 19. The school caters for over 1960 students, with 420 in the primary phase. Results over recent years have been significantly above national average in all key stages with 79% of students obtaining A*-C in both nglish and mathematics at KS4 in The school was the regional winner of the KS4 Pupil Premium Award in 2016 and was placed in the top 100 non-selective schools for GCS performance in We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Primary Teacher Foundation Stage in our Secondary phase from September 17. The department is extremely well resourced and benefits from state of the art, purpose built facilities, with all faculties having their own dedicated staff bases. The faculty teaches both Spanish and French to both GCS and A level. German will be introduced for the first time in September. Results in MFL have routinely been some of the strongest across the school. As Principal, my vision is for the school to strive for excellence in everything that it does and for it to become the highest performing school in the Northamptonshire area across all phases within 5 years. 5 Monday, 13 November 2017 Dear Colleague, Thank you for your interest in this class teacher post at Caroline Chisholm School. A rare opportunity has arisen to join our primary phase team in January 2018 in the role of Foundation Stage class teacher and I hope that the details enclosed will give you the background information you need to make your application. We are looking for an excellent teacher who possesses an enthusiasm and passion for teaching in the early years. Applications are welcome from teachers at all stages of their career including NQTs. If you are seeking a full-time class teacher post or the opportunity to work on part-time basis as the class teacher in a 4 day (0.8), job share, we are keen to hear from you. The post is offered on a fixed term basis from January 1 st until August 31 st. There is the possibility of the post becoming permanent from the following academic year Our two-form entry Foundation Stage is equipped to a very high standard. As reception class teacher you will work in partnership with a dedicated and dynamic Foundation Stage Leader, supported by a team of three full time, experienced teaching assistants. xperience of teaching in FS and/or KS1 would be an advantage and a desire to work within the early years is essential. Learning is active, enjoyable and enriched by a wide range of opportunities during the course of the school year. Outdoor learning is a distinctive feature of the primary curriculum and the Forest School s programme is wellestablished across Foundation Stage and KS1. At CCS, new staff will participate in a short induction programme and a full induction year programme is available for NQTs. We can offer a happy and vibrant learning environment where expectations are high and teachers are encouraged to be creative in their approach to teaching and learning and committed to being the best they can be. Primary team meetings are held after school on Tuesdays and all teachers are expected to support the wider community of the school through the provision of extra-curricular clubs and school events. Primary pupils also have access to facilities such as the drama studio, sports hall and other specialist areas as required and the whole school enjoys a full catering service in the dining room. 8 Job Description - Primary Teacher Foundation Stage Responsible to: Foundation Stage Leader Responsible for: Working Time: The provision of a full and rich learning experience and support for young people Full time or Part time (4 days/0/8) Contract: Fixed Term January 1 st August 31 st 2018 Salary: Teachers Pay Scale Job Purpose: Job Description: To teach a single year group class, according to the needs of the school. To support the school s policies on behaviour and curriculum planning and assessment. To participate in short term, medium and long term planning of the curriculum. To contribute to a primary phase curriculum design and development. To attend school meetings, meetings with external agencies, parents evenings and open evenings. To contribute to extra-curricular activities beyond the school day. To contribute to school progress and improvement by participating in the school development planning and target setting process.
