3 Overview Chulalongkorn University (Chula) is approaching 100 th year of establishment in Chula has a mission to become World Class National University. First UG International Program started in 1995 Currently Chula consists of 19 Faculties, Graduate School, 3 Colleges and 10 Institutes.

14 Current Mobility Situation and Problem in Asia University s Perspective Low number of exchange students. More scholarship offered than takers. More outbound than inbound in case of Chula. Difficulties in matching relevant programs. Student s Perspective Lack of interest to study abroad no standardized credit transfer, extend studying time and no extra benefit. Diverse culture, quality of education and standard of living.

Program should include opportunity for internship or credit transfer to promote mobility Identifying student s interest is a priority. Seek, provide and publicize Scholarship to promote more mobility. Exploring possibility of awarding different or complementary degree types. University resources must be sufficient and attractive to students.
