6 RA Responsibilities Community building We are in the business of building relationships 1-on-1 interactions, planned activities Residential education Support and enforcement of the Duke Community Standards (Policy Enforcement) Administrative tasks

7 Eligibility Requirements Commitment second only to academics RA s must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or above at all times and be enrolled in a full time degree seeking program RA s must be in good judicial standing with the university. RA s will remain on campus through the first two full weeks of each semester Significant employment should be discussed with Residence Coordinator

9 Interview Process & Timeline Application available online starting Monday, November 7 Application: Deadline: Thursday, December 15 at 11:59p 1st Interview (25-30 minutes) Monday January 23 and Tuesday, January 24 Georgia- Addoms (GA) Down Under, East Campus Candidates will interview with an RC (from any area) and and RA or GR (from any area) 2nd Interview (30 minutes) Friday January 27 Georgia-Addoms (GA) Down Under, East Campus Candidates notified of decision via on Monday, February 6, 2017

10 RA Training Dates (Tentative) RA Training for All RAs Training will occur August 13-21, 2017 RAs must be able to attend all of training Exceptions are granted on a case by case basis Exceptions: Academic conflicts, Duke Engage RA Leadership Institute (RALI) 6 Week class for new and alternate RAs Begins March 20, 2017 through April 24, 2017 Dates are subject to change
